Should I buy these shoes or not?

I saw these shoes online, and really liked them. I just feel drawn to them. I do need some new shoes, but what I've been looking at are ballet flats and wedge sandals. I dress casual to "nice casual" most of the time. I wear jeans and khakis (usually cropped these days), an a-line black jersey skirt, and maxi skirts/dresses. My main colors are black, khaki, fuchsia, and turquoise. I just don't want these shoes to sit in the closet as orphans. If I'm going to spend $$ right now, I want to wear them at least once a week. Will they work with cropped jeans or khakis? With a black skirt, white tee, and denim jacket? With a grey maxi skirt? I still need some more flat shoes; I can't see me running errands in heels like these. But they look fun! I think I like them because they fit two sides of me: the modern, fun-loving side, and the vintage side. (I used to do a lot of shopping at vintage clothing stores, and find myself wanting to add accessories and jewelry that reflect side of my style, even when I'm wearing something more modern and casual. So what do you think? Should I stick with black or brown, or will these shoes work with my clothes at least once a week, for rehearsal or date night?

These are so eye catching and memorable that they either bevome your signature item or you will tire of them quickly. That is my gut impression without knowing your wardrobe.

These to me are an odd choice with a jersey maxi, too structured, but not like a boot. Good with a black skirt white tee denim jacket in theory...need to see the skirt.

Could you post sample outfits from your closet?

Ps...there is however no need to default to black or brown. There is a huge gap between liberty floral print square heeled espadrille mary janes sandals and brown shoes.

I think these would look wonderful with khakis, and possibly with light wash jeans. Could you bring any of the pink shades in on top as a tee? I think you could definitely wear these at least once a week.

I think you're right about them being memorable. I would probably wear them only occasionally. But I just like them! For full price, I wouldn't even consider them, but for thirty bucks, hmm. I think maybe I'll try to find something with that modern retro vibe that's more wearable for me right now, but keep these in mind if I have a windfall this summer. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to shop for vintagey shoes?

If you like them and can afford it, then you should have them.

I certainly have many expensive pairs than i am comfortable disclosing worn only a few times. I keep them around and occasionally play dress up!

If you have nothing like them in terms of a non-neutral casual shoe, I say get them as an experiment. You'll either discover that you love the vibe of an not-brown-or-black-goes-with-everything-boring shoe, or that they don't get worn at all because they are too much. $30 isn't free, but it's a good brand and very fun. I bought a pair of purple print sneakers a couple years ago that I've worn way more than I thought, and now I'm looking for some more colorful shoes because now I know I'll wear them.

I ordered them. I have really been wanting to incorporate more vintagey patterns, and spring/summer colors into my wardrobe. I thought I could wear these with my cropped chinos and a summery colored shirt. I've been looking at some really cute summery dresses to try. I figured for the price, the shoes were worth trying. I still need some everyday shoes, but I think I'll wear these (assuming they fit and are comfy) at least a couple of times a month during the spring/summer.

I have a pair of peep toed wedged slingback in a light floral pattern and wear them more often than I ever imagined. I think these will be extremely versatile and definitely add that vintage feel you desire.

I say go for it and resorting to black or brown is a big no-no especially for Spring/Summer! Have fun with footwear there are so many options available these days.
