I have been reading and thinking of Claire's 10 piece wardrobe and minimalism more generally... It is my tendency alongside quite a bit of churning aka boredom with my clothes. At the same time, I get bored with what is in store at home and the endless choice of black or black outfits. In Australia clothes and shoes are expensive and I am picky on size/style. I love a jacket and would like to wear more smart casual jackets - given one can easily pay several 100$ for a jacket at home, I tend to keep them for the office even though I work from home several days a week.
I am in the UK right now and in shopping heaven - price, style, sizes all lining up in a row. I have found about 4 or 5 jackets that look just great and the prices are a snap... e.g. I could wear a lovely 'tweed' look jacket with my jeans and t without flipping out etc. Of course once I put this many in the shopping basket there is still a financial outlay and I could get one good jacket back home. And then there is the minimalism thing - do I need 5 new jackets??!?!?!? I have to say I DO have a new black jacket or suit on my list (and would like to have a sharp jacket for the conference in 2 weeks). My careful choices I have bought on tour of the denim and leather jackets in colours and sizes I wanted are being worn constantly... Should I buy or should I put the brakes on?!?!? Thanks for listening And sorry the photos on the online catalogue look frightful but I tried them a couple of times instore and still happy
