I got these two pairs of shorts. First one, Santana bright tangerine, is high waist. Second one, black Calvin Klein, is low waist and roomy. Which one do you prefer?

Should I keep or return the second one? What else would you wear it with?

They both look good. I think the dark ones need to be a bit longer because of the width at the bottom but I like them how they are styled here.

I prefer the second one.you could wear it with just about anything. did they have another color option?

Love how you styled the orange shorts. I like both pairs on you. I don't know what your weather is like, but I would never wear black shorts--it's just too hot here and if it's hot enough for shorts it's definitely too hot for black. (I am someone who wears a lot of black.) However I realize most climates lack the heat extremes that we have here!

I think they both look good. I paticularly like the black. I do like my shorts a bit longer but I think th length on these is fine and you have lovely slender legs.

I would wear loose oversized tops over the shorts, dress the black ones up with a jacket if it's not too hot, I think there are quite a few options.

Shevia, Debora, the black shorts came in this length, ans actually, sit a bit lower than normal due to a larger waist falling on my hips.

Sona, Adelfa, yest, they had ugly army green and white. Which I decided against because I could tell they were see through.

I prefer the black ones style, but the color of the orange ones. Black feels heavy for summer, and gets so hot in the sun.

I love the way the black ones sit a little bit lower on your hips and love the blouse tucked in with them. I would wear just about any type of top with them - patterned (as long as it had a touch of black in the pattern) and any solid - as well as button-down shirts, t-shirts, tanks (with jackets or cardigans), hi-low tops, or regular pull-over top with a semi-tuck in the front. I'm not as crazy about the orange ones - to me they just look a little too short, but it may just be the angle of the camera. And, as I said before I really like when shorts sit a little bit lower on the hips and the orange ones just don't have that relaxed vibe like the black ones do.

What Shevia said. I do prefer my shorts a bit more narrow at the bottom. But both look good.

Krish, are you looking for a dressier short? If so the black is the choice. The width gives it a loucheness that can also be dressed down.

The orange is more casual and i like this fit for such occasions. Plus the color is joyous and the length majes your legs look a mile long. The high waist is hidden by the tunic-ish top. Do you plan to tuck/semituck? Perhps i need to see that too, just in case it sways me.

I think both are excellent for their different purposes. One is casual and fun, for weekends, and one is a little dressier (yet still possible to wear in a casual way, if that makes sense). You could look at Angie's ensemble suggestions for dressy shorts for the latter ones.

Thank you! OK so I keep the black ones. I hadn't seen them as dressy! If anything, I thought the tangerine ones were dressier, but you guys are right.

Looking at the pics, I definitively think the tangerine shorts need tucking.

I will experiment dressy versions of the black ones.
