Short dresses with leggings - dated?

Is it passe to wear short dresses or tunics with leggings? I loved the combo for the past several years, but I can't recall seeing it much this year or last, if at all. Is this look "over"?

to me that's a classic look in the arty/boho genre. If it works for your style, your figure type, and for where you'll be wearing the outfit, I say go for it.

Unless you are tall like the models, you may not even need leggings with these dresses.
Otherwise I hope they never date, so the 'baggy kneed brigade' ie. some over fifties like me -can keep wearing dresses

I dunno . . . I'm not feeling it anymore. Maybe a more tailored shirt dress style or some structure. But I'm 43. I don't want to feel 'girly' at this point.

Lyn D - I' not super tall (5'8") but I'm thick-thighed and pretty shy/modest, and I'm chasing and bending over after little kids, so short dresses sans leggings are... a challenge, shall we say
