Shopping trip to Natick Mall report & three month shopping ban beggins!

So today I finally went to the Natick Mall. Shiny and Nicole, you were absolutely right, the mall is huge is very nice! I am very impressed . I've spent 6 hours there with a friend and visited a very small percentage of the stores. Here's how I faired:

I finally found a Chantelle Bra in my size. It is everything Angie said it is. I'm very impressed. I will exclusively stick to it in the future. I got the matching boyshorts too, couldn't resist:

I finally found a cami in the perfect shade of yellow for me for layering that has been on my wish list for months in their BP department! Then I went to Zara, and was in general very impressed with the store, but most of the stuff was too blousy/tenty for my taste. I did score this inky blue linen jacket ( worn in the photo over yellow cami I mentioned above). I'm absolutely in love with it and plan to make it one of my signature pieces regardless of the fashion trends. I will at some point in the next few weeks start a new thread for ideas on how to wear it.

And I finally found my white clamdiggers, at Delia's out of all places! They were quite cheap, and fit pretty well. I do need to get the pockets removed and have them hemmed. I'll probably start another new thread later in the week to help me figure out the right length.

I am officially done with the shopping for this season and my three-month shopping ban is starting now! The rules are that I can spend $20-30 monthly for accessories such as necklaces/scarves, and whatever money I earn from consigning goes into my Chantelle bra fund. So no clothes shopping for me till September! I am hoping to get more creative with my stuff, and also edit my closet a lot. Oh, and I am still waiting for some online purchases to arrive, so that you guys know I'm not breaking my own rules once I post them

omg I LOVE that Zara jacket! You look like you have a corset on under there. It's perfect for you. Love the contrast of the very structured fit with the soft ruffles. It's amazing. I want it now!

Is the Anthro top by Deletta? I tried a crisscross top like that by them but it didn't look good over my chest. Looks good on you though!

The Delias clamdiggers are cute. They look a lot like the Matchsticks.

I am semi-breaking my rules because I need camis (see other post), but I kind of put them in the category of accessories since they're more like underwear.

It's refreshing to see you buying different pieces than what I'm used to. That blue top is very unique--it really accentuates your hourglass figure. You can definitely work that top--I'll be curious to see what outfits you come up with it. Something like that would scare me because I'd have no idea what do wear with it.

The rouched top is very cute--it's similar to your signature wrap shirts, but still different and unique. What do you think you'll wear with that top?

Maya, the cream top is indeed by Deletta. I liked it particularly because it seems to enhance the chest area. Nicole, I haven't particularly thought of what I'll wear it with, but I think it would go with almost anything: jeans (:D), pants, skirts if I scrunch it up a bit.

I am not sure at this point what I'll wear the jacket with. Because the cut emphasizes the waist, I think it probably need pants with wider legs, or I'll end up looking like an hourglass caricature with hip-hugging pants. Angie, is this correct?

Maya, I don't think you're breaking your rules I tend to consider camis accessories as well, especially if they provide a pop of color.

Gorgeous jacket! That’s the type of style I would wear. Delicious with a white shirt, chunky pearls, red bag and yellow shoes. I’d throw in a pinstripe waistcoat and cream ankle boots for an Autumn ensemble.

Ana, the jacket looks nice open too, tough it's not as waist-emphasizing that way. It has gazzilion of little hook-and eye-closures, so I can close or leave open as many as I choose. I imagine now that I can see the gears in your head turning and you're browsing through your mental J Crew catalog for stuff to pair it with
