Jane and I went shoe-shopping this afternoon. After spending last night trying on our outfits and debating how to accessorize them, both of us wanted new shoes to wear to this formal event we're attending this weekend. We hit Nine West, which was having a great sale.

For the event, I got a pair of basic black dress pumps like these (except not patent):

... I can't wait to wear these with my black sweater dress and black tights, and also with my lace skirt. They also looked adorable with my skinny jeans. And would work to jazz up any LBD.

Everything was marked way down. Jane did even better than me...

Then I hit the consignment shop and scored big time. I found a Levi's jean jacket that is perfect skirt length. I wouldn't call it cropped but it is very form fitting and hits at the waist. Dark denim. Best part? 50% off... so only $18!!! I figured I would probably spend a lot more having my jean jacket tailored.

I also got a black jeresey Japanese Weekend dress. The jeresey is amazing and feels great. It's going to need to be hemmed and I may alter the sleeves. I will take pics later when I can to see what you all think about the sleeves.. they are... interesting!

And I got a B Moss jumper I thought might work over a white button down shirt. So two dresses and a jean jacket... all for under $50.
