Shopping in Summer for Winter

Hi Fabbers,

What do you do in a heat wave? Shop for winter of course:)

Well the weather has cooled and I'm having some me time at a girlfriend's for the night so just perusing winter booties, as you do.

Fallen for these and wondered what you think? Do they suit my style, a current look?

Thanks for taking a look. They are "Joey" and leather.

Beautiful! And I think they fit your style perfectly… sleek, modern, and a bit arty. I love the subtle texture (snakeskin?) on the white leather. Enjoy your "me" time!

I'm slowly learning people's styles, and I'm so happy to say that when I saw these pics, I immediately could see some of your outfits in my mind ... yes, to me, these look like you!! Love them and can see them on you for sure (literally). They're lovely, graphic, and modern.

Those are so beautiful and I think would fit in right with your style. I have a pair of SE circus booties that are similar (although I think I like these better) and they have been a very fun way to add some interest to outfits.

The high contrast black/white feels right with your wardrobe. Are they avant garde enough? How do you feel about their being pretty flat?

These are gorgeous - I agree with everyone who said they'd work really well with your wardrobe. I love the way the black heel tucks directly under the white leather part to give it a more geometric look.

Beautiful booties! I saw a similar pair recently, and was immediately drawn to them. I felt they were a bit to "minimalist modern" for my core style, which would make them right up your alley, I think! My only other concern would be the dirt that collects on my right heel from driving, since I spend a good amount of time behind the wheel.

Love the combination of "refined and strong lines."

Deborah - gorgeous and sleek!! I adore the low heel and pointy tor and that the white is snake skin - it gives lovely textural interest and detail. I really like them and they are perfect for your style!! You have so many lovely white tops to bookend and they will give that little pop to your all black outfits!! I think they would be a great choice and an awesome addition if they are comfortable!! I wonder, do you have a bag like Rae and Una's brahmin (black and white)? not that you want to take this too harlequin but it would be interesting to see how something like that worked. But it might be too much - just a thought!!

Thanks for your input everyone. I am going to think on these a little before I decide.

While I like them a lot, Joy nailed my concern. I am really wanting to add edgy pieces and I don't think this fit the bill. And Lyn D I could make room lol.

The white being ay the back makes a difference and could be what gets them over the line.
