We are definetly "winging" this trip, Angie... in all ways... it was a last-minute booking - swapped our CA plans once business trip was cancelled for Iceland instead, since vacation was already booked anyhow.
We are NOT taking laptops, cell phones or any other devices that might connect us to work or anyone else. So I won't be able to visit YLF, but we need to- literally - disconnect for awhile every now and then! Yeah we were just away - but I mean *away* -completely - from family and friends too.
I'm bringing some novels I've been meaning to read, and do hope for at least a day to just do absolutely, blissfully, nothing but read all day in bed and snuggle.
DH is packing right now (I pack tomorrow) - and this is probably the only trip we will ever go on where he's packing a larger bag than me!!! It's so cute! I get teasing rights for a change!!
He's going completey overboard with cold-weather gear. I'm just taking my new Puffer, wool scarf, hat, gloves, a pair of smartwool long johns, jeans, my uggs (and other more fashionable boots too), and some chunky sweaters. If I am too cold even with that plan, I'll buy some icelandic gear while I'm there!
Weather apparently may end up warmer in Iceland than in Boston next week... looks like Boston is in for a cold snap.
