You guys are NOT helping my bank account. But it is great seeing these responses. Thank you!
Lyn, you may quote me! Renee, both polka dot dresses are Ralph Lauren. The b&w polka dot one is also available in purple.
I have the jacket on hold, along with the pants I'm wearing in that picture, but I think I'm going to pass on the pants. I love how lightweight and comfortable they are, and they fit well. But, 1) they're linen, which I always find problematic, 2) they're barely PPL with my lowest heel boots so they can't be worn with any kind of heel, and 3) I think I will be losing a few pounds as I pursue this marathon training. Dresses seem to fare better during weight loss than pants do, so I'm thinking I should hold off on buying any new pants for a couple of months.
So I should get the jacket? I haven't heard a lukewarm response on it yet. It's expensive, I'm wondering if the style will live a few years.
I bought 5 & 9 at very good sale prices. I will get a lot of wear out of casual dresses for spring and summer. Last summer I really started embracing the dress, as I don't love shorts on me, and our summers are hot and muggy, so I rarely wear jeans.
I bought 7, and at full price, but I love it so I thought I should just go for it. It's classic, so I figured full price is worth it. I tend to wait for sale prices for trendier items.
I left 6 & 8 on hold. I was having a hard time justifying two polka dot dresses, but I may have to go back and get 6, because it's a very diffent vibe from the black and white one and fills a different wardrobe hole. This one can go more casual.
