Shopping Finds and advice - YouLookFab Forum

I went shopping today and tried various sweaters etc with the dress for the wedding. I did find a yellow shrug and a bracelet I may or may not keep.
The clutch I was looking at ended up being a yellow gold underneath the open cutouts and it just did not work for me.
I went in every store at our local mall in search for a clutch and came out empty handed. I scoured the internet and still did not find anything.
I decided I would like to have the bag in a pewter colour to co-ordinate with my sandals. The one I found about 5 minutes ago is a clutch and it is by Baggalini. I am not sure what it will look like until it arrives but I did order it.

I composed a picture with the dress, shrug, sandals, necklace and bracelet. I added the clutch and nail polish shots.

Next in my decision process is nails. I am down to two choices.
I own both colours and they both work.

They each give a different look and feel to the ensemble.

So which polish -- yellow or mochacino?
Do I do my toenails the same colour as my fingernails?
Looking forward to your valuable input.

I will post a picture tomorrow of the dress with the shrug.
I bought something else today, not for the wedding but nice. More to come on that later.

Ruby, you are leaving us in suspense! I am not a nail polish person so will leave that for someone more knowledgeable. As far as the colors, I like both. A pewter bag is a good choice. I hope it will work out for you.

Love the dress. Looks like the whole outfit is coming together nicely. I think the yellow polish is to casual.

Nice ensemble. I'd do the mocachino nails- looks a bit more elegant to my eye and allows the dress take center stage.

I would do mocachino nails and yellow toes. I don't like to match my nails and toes for some reason.

The colours of your ensemble are lovely. I would love to see it all on you.

This is all coming together beautifully, and I love the colour palette you have chosen. The pewter bag will be a lovely finishing touch.

I think I would go with the mocachino polish.

It's a very pretty dress! I think all the accessories are a bit on the casual side. A taller heel could elevate the look and the other accessories though.

I think the dark nail polish is a better contender, yellow nailpolish makes me think of teenagers at best, nail fungus at worst. Personally I'd go with a classic red or light pink and draw the line at too much matchy matchy.

@BlondeAmbition - If only I could wear a taller heel. My drop foot hinders that. I would love to have a pair of wedge heel sandals, sadly my drop food prevents this.

I know that a lady in the store where I bought the shrug was saying that yellow polish would be great.

I think that the mochacino adds an elegant touch to it. I am going to be bringing a few on my Essie polishes with me as my aunt loves to do manicures. My toes will be done in the salon. I am still undecided on the colour for them. I will do a trial run on the mochacino to see how it goes.

On another note I am super excited about the wedding and getting to go home to New Brunswick and seeing my two beautiful grandchildren. One is 20 years old and the other is 2 years old.

I like the mochachino for your fingers but I might like the yellow for your toes as contrast to the sandals and because I don't like to go matchy matchy. What do you think when you put the bottles of polish next to your sandals, maybe with your feet in them?
