Hi Eva, a Boston shopper checking in
Nicole has given you some great info. There are actually two connected malls there: Prudential and Copley. I believe that this is the nicest mall in the city. I refer to the combo of two, I always forget which is which. Both of them have directories online so you can google them and find out the lists. There are a lot of upscale stores: Gucci, Armani, etc. and department stores like Saks, Neiman Marcus, Barneys. There are also more normal stores like Gap, BR, AT, ATL, J Crew. And there are my favorites, stores like Mango, Club Monaco, Benetton, BCBG, French Connection, Armani Exchange. There is a also a famous lingerie store ( Intimacy) known for their bra fittings where you can find Chantelle bras. There is an AF store very close by the mall.
Nicole is spot on about Newberry street, It's a mixture of designer®ular stores like above, but there are a lot of boutiques, both local, and some New York chains ( Intermix, Calypso etc). Finally, places I wouldn't miss there are a big Zara, nice H&M and a local favorite Filene's Basement. Not right on the street but close by is an Anthropologie store.
Another shopping area that's popular, but not nearly as upscale is Downtown crossing - two T stops from Newberry. It used to have the oldest and original Filene's Basement; but that's been closed ( should reopen at some point). What they do have is Macy's, another H&M, discount stores like Marshalls, T J Maxx ( this one has the runway section) and DSW.
Finally, another mall I am very familiar with is in Cambridge ( still just a few train stops away), called Galleria. It's a nice mall, but nothing as upscale as Pru. It also has BR, J Crew, Club Monaco, Benetton etc. It has the third ( and final) H&M in the Boston area and a Canadian store called Jacob, this is their only location in the whole US. I really love that store, it's like a Canadian version of BR ( more affordable than Club Monaco).
Whew, this was a lot I hope you'll find it helpful.
