Shopping Ban- Check In!

How is everyone doing?

I've veered off my shopping ban twice now. I found Clarks on sale, and ordered a pair of them, and today I found a summer dress on the clearance rack at Target and boght that. I'm not sure if I'm keeping the dress yet, but probably. I've been wanting it for a while, and it will be a good dress for summer. It's a good cut and color and I would get a lot of use from it. Plus- I used money from the grocery budget for it, so it doesn't really count, right?

All in all, I am doing prettty well, considering that I am dying to go and stock up on camis in the next size down at Old Navy or use any of the coupons that I keep getting sent.
Anyone else want to share?

I've been meaning to check in myself Khris. What with the unexpected memorial day vacation, I went out and bought a dress from Target (half paid with a gift card), shorts from Gap and the Me Too Nadias. I was looking for the Me Toos anyways so that was already planned for and I got it on sale to boot! I'm going to be making $100 worth of returns so budget wise I'll actually getting back some $$!

I think its great that you ordered the Clarks when you found them on sale. You saved money in the long run! I hope you will post pictures of the dress soon. I never have luck with clearance items at Target these days.

Well ... honestly not so good here

I ordered that Esprit dress and a scarf. And today I ordered a jean jacket.

All totalled, probably $130 over two weeks. Since I was allowing myself accessories, the scarf would be okay under the ban. But I certainly shouldn't have ordered the jacket and dress. Ugh. This is harder than I thought it would be. Maybe I'll get lucky and the dress and jacket won't fit!

I haven't broken my ban at all. Mostly because I've just been way too busy to even think about shopping but still. I can't remember the last time I went so long without buying anything so I'm pretty pleased with myself nonetheless

Thanks again for the initiative! It really helps with the motivation.

I'm going to start a shopping ban (except for accessories, maybe) from now until the end of June when I go to Chicago. I must quit buying clothes for a bit, now that I have enough of a summer wardrobe to get me through.

I bought a pair of shoes... oops! My justification was that they were €18 and exactly what I had been looking for in a pair of shoes- red, chunky heel, mary jane style, small heel, cream accents. I couldn't pass them up for anything in the world.

I also have found some top which I must buy for the summer once I finish my ban. I can't wait to be paid my first paycheck on Thursday!

Rather than a full shopping ban I need an impulse buy ban and force myself to be very picky when I do make a purchase. The sales lately have tempted me by ridicuous prices for things I don't really need or are OK but not fab. I have a pile of stuff to return!
