Shopping at Athleta?

Does Athleta ever go on sale, similar to GAP? If Athleta is anything like GAP, then maybe I should wait for the next 30 or 40% off sale...? But then again, Piperlime doesn't have many sales.

I just tried on the Jura dress and it's AWESOME. Nice wide straps, no gaping V-neck, pockets (!!). But, I need a petite and I might have to order the PS and PM, just to figure out sizing. Anyway, wondering if I should order now, or wait for a sale? Thanks in advance!

Athleta items do go on sale, but not at the 30-40% offers you see at GAP. Their sales tend to happen only at the end of the season...by which time stocks are low and size/color selections are limited.

If you've found a dress as perfect as this one, my advice is to go ahead and buy now. If it's a popular item it will probably sell out fast, and I've found they often don't restock.

I would buy it now. It seems like the smaller sizes go quickly. I believe their sales are occasionally 20% off, but nothing like Gap or Old Navy.

As others have said, Athleta does not sale price like Gap. They are usually excluded from the coupons and only once or twice a year have any % off at all.

Athleta functions nothing like the Gap. The Gap bought them a couple of years ago, but they left alone to run the business as they always have. Athleta does have sales, but it is usually whatever is left over, so the sizes and choices are very limited.

I would suggest that you google the dress that you like. Sometimes 6pm or Sierra Trading Company has them on deep discount. I also like Moosejaw and Backcountry. I always check those other sites first before pulling the trigger at Athleta.

Isabel's advice is good. I am a long-time BR card holder, and Athleta is tied into the rewards system of the Gap/BR/ON company. I get the occasional 30% off one item email, but sadly for me do not get the deep discounts as at the other stores.

I have some Athleta items I love but find that their sizing is inconsistent and I think they use tall fit models.
