Shopping - substitute for Suz's Sofft sandal??

I have been admiring and lusting after Suz's Sofft bernia sandal for a few weeks. I realized my shoe collection has dwindled to a few pairs of neutral shoes that aren't filling all the holes so I went shopping to try to find a pair of black sandals that would work in a few of Angie's ensembles and a pair of metallic shoes similar to Suz's. I picked up this pair of Naturalizers. I took a few pics on my feet but also found them on amazon to link.

What do you think? Close enough to be cousins or is there a style difference that makes them not suit the same purpose in outfits?

I am also adding a pic of Friday's WIW. I have worn it before but decided to try out a few of my bags and took a blue one to add color. Honest feedback/critiques are very welcome.

Oh man, here I am jumping right back in again. But it's you, so I know I'm OK I have been half-looking for a pair like Suz's too, as every time she posts in them, I really like the way they work with everything. I rarely go in to Naturalizer because it strikes me as a little too conservative for my taste, but I really like these! And.......they look great on your foot too. Looks like a perfect fit. I may have to go check them out!

You could not look better in that black tank and tube skirt. And I was eyeing your cobalt bag in your other post - it looks fantastic with this outfit. These strong clear colours really suit you

Ladies we are a trio! I have been lusting after those sandals but haven't been able to find them in Canada. I like these one and think they are a great pair. Did you buy them online and are they tts?

Glory, I bought them at the Naturalizer store but they are probably available online as well. I am almost always an 8.5 and that is got. I have very flat thin feet (Shannon would call them low volume) and most of the shoes in the gladiator style are too long across the foot for me. This pair has some room but it isn't obvious.

From what I can see in the pic, the main differences are that Naturalizer has a wood wedge instead of one covered in the metallic leather and they are a cooler pewter and the Sofft are a soft gold. The cooler color is probably better for my skin but the wood heel may make them a bit more casual. I posted because I wasn't sure if the differences were significant enough to make them less versatile or less pretty (I love your shoes Suz).

Wow, these are great!! Love them!! I am almost tempted to buy a pair myself. Believe it or not, I am actually wishing that I had duplicated those Bernias. I wear them SO MUCH and they work so well with everything that I am seriously considering ordering a second pair for next year. I managed to get mine at the Bay, on sale, yet! The minute after I ordered them they disappeared at the sale price. They were available at full price in black and luggage for a couple of weeks, and never did go on sale in those colours. And now they are completely gone.

The Naturalizers look terrific on you and are a perfect substitute as far as I can tell.

And I LOVE your WIW. You look wonderful in that!

Hey, I'm a lurking admirer of those Bernias as well! I've been thinking I could really use something like that style for myself. I love the Naturalizers on you. If they are comfy, I say keep. For me, Naturalizers are usually too narrow. But for your low-volume foot they are probably better than the Soffts would be. The color looks great on you, and I like the style as well as the Bernias. The wood wedge does not strike me as more casual; they do seem quite comparable, style-wise.

I really like the blue bag with your skirt outfit. Those sandals are such a good nude color for you that everything works beautifully to my eye.

Oh, and what are you wearing in photo 1? Skirt or harem pants? Whichever it is, I love that look with the sandals!

I think the sandals are great. I had a similar pair a couple of summers ago and wore them to the ground. The color and style go with everything.

I can't quite say why, but your pair do seem a tad more casual than Suz's. Maybe the straps are thicker? Regardless, I think they'll serve you beautifully.

Firecracker and Traci, the pants are harem style that I bought in Mexico at a market. The seller had pareos sewn into pants with stretch jersey cuffs and waistband so they are one size fits most. I loved the first pair I bought so much that I went back and bought another and then another. They can also be worn as a loose fitting top as there is an opening in the middle between the legs that is big enough to slip over the head if one is so inclined. I haven't tried it yet but the waistband would then be a band at the bottom if it were worn as a top.

The sandals are great, I really like this metallic tone with your skin. I've looked at the Bernias too, but know they will be too wide for my low volume feet. These seem to fit you perfectly. I think they look a bit more casual because their lower heel. You look amazing in 3, and, great pedicure!

I have the Bernias, too, and I agree that the Naturalizers are a great substitute, dianthus. They have the same kind of vibe. You'll be able to wear them with everything. So great!

I kind of wish I had duplicated as well, especially since they come in a wide width which I need. Mine are in good shape and will be fine for next season, but if they're available again, I might think about getting another pair.

I have to join in the chorus of admiration for your harem pants; they're wonderful. I also really like your outfit in pic #3 - the blue bag looks smashing with the black and white.
