...and i haven't even started.

no luck on the canada goose puffer or burberry trench.

ordered my annual halogen cashmere scarf. got some leggings, socks and a bra. so exciting.

this sale was a bust for me. on the plus side, i must really like my clothes to not shop the sale or i got more self-restraint.

That’s a bummer. Though, I might be in the same boat of liking my existing clothes. Or, maybe YLF has made me much pickier. Which scarf did you get?

I hear you! I just finished the 2019 dress overhaul, so I’ve been in shop mode — I’m kind of relieved I didn’t get a massive case of the wants for NAS. It looks like I’m ending up with the VB jacket and the red boots, and possibly a pair of cognac booties, and that’s plenty! Now to finish editing some old stuff from my closet...

I’m curious too about why no Canada Goose. I have a short light puffer my husband got for me maybe 6-7 years ago and I love it.

I hesitated to say anything, but I remember you mentioning CG in the past , and I don't want to start anything here on the forum, but.. it's for ethical reasons. They do not source their down ethically, and as of the last time I checked, don't have the seal of ethical manufacturing from whatever body regulates that stuff. It's well known in manufacturing circles that the quality of down they use, and how they get it (you don't want to know) isn't good.

Yeah, I didn't see much that really appealed to me either. I bought some underwear and a leather jacket that I strongly suspect is going to be too big even in the smallest size. I did buy a few other items, but they weren't part of the sale.

I'm actually kind of relieved I didn't see a lot of stuff I wanted. I don't have a lot of money to spend right now. I bought the leather jacket because it's a HEWI, so I at least have to try.

bj...I'm not sure about Moncler but I think Soia and Kyo and Mackage are good and also my own -- Quartz. Mine is the Fermont, by the way, and I LOVE it. Unlike Canada Goose, it is washable. It's a major coat for major winter weather, though. I don't expect to wear it in Vancouver at all -- will only wear on trips back east or up to the mountains. Some coats by these companies do include real fur, which I know can also be an issue. Most claim to use ethically sourced fur also (whatever that means.)

Almost all the major puffer companies include info on their website about sourcing now. Consumers made enough fuss.

I don’t think Canada Goose ever goes on sale. It’s part of their marketing strategy to preserve brand exclusivity or something like that.

Is/was there a Canada Goose puffer on sale? My understanding was the same as smittie’s. If it is I bet it’s in very limited teaser quantities to suck people into the sale to buy other items.
