Shoes/Bag to brighten dress

Afternoon ladies!!

I've bought a beautiful dress for a wedding I'm going to next Saturday (20th July). It has a sheer black neck, cream sweatheart torso and a full black skirt, it is lovely but a bit plain, and was thinking of getting colourful shoes/bag to give it a bit of punch....idea on a good colour to suit?

Any color will work. I am partial to pinks and purples.

Me too, my thoughts were either a nice deep purple (conservative option) or a hot pink (bold option). Would a bright pink be too much?

Any color would work but I can see it with large pearls or a silver "statement necklace".

I don't know if it's too late, but I have an apple green purse that goes with WAY more than I would have expected, so that's an option, too.

Last summer I went to a wedding and I wore a black dress. I did statement shoes that were similar to this: http://www.heels.com/womens-sh.....-teal.html

However for your dress i would go with a solid color statement shoe. and i would do big earrings not a necklace.

Am going shopping Thursday, thank you all for your ideas. I feel a bit if a fraud, although i love fashion, and apreciate it on other people, I tend to be a bit of a plain Jane so want to step it up a bit for this event.
