SHOES: to keep or not to keep.

Hi there,

I am new to this site and have come across it because I've had this same dilemma over and over but have never felt confident in my fashion decisions. Over the weekend I bought a pair of shoes from Nine West, it's the Sheryl mary jane type pump. Well I went a bit crazy and bought it in two colors. I bought it in a the Rose color and in the Nude/Black color. I wish I could post pictures of the shoes but alas, as I am a newbie I can't do that yet.

Anyway, now I realize that they are too similar. I can't decide which color to keep. Could you help me decide which has more potential in my closet. I would also appreciate outfit suggestions so that I can visualize how well the shoe would work, I am having so much trouble "seeing it happen" with the two colors. Thank you all so much!

Is the "nude" shoe close to your own leg color? If so this would be a more leg-lengthening option, and a more neutral and versatile one. If your hair is dark, the black accents would "bookend" your hair. The "rose" are very pretty! I don't know what colors you usually wear, so it's hard for me to say how much you'd use these.

My feet just laughed at me when I had the briefest thought of how pretty those were and how great they look. No way I can wear heels that high!

That said, which would go with more n your closet? Given your coloring can the rose act as a nude? If so, I would go with those.

Wow, you are very quick to respond! I'm soooo impressed. Thank you so much Claudia those are the very shoes.

I am actually quite pale and light in color so the rose is a little darker than myself. It is sort of a nude color but not enough that the rosey pink is lost. You can still tell they are a shade of pink.

The nude with black is definitely my tone but with the black accented on there, I just can't visualize dressing it down. Am I insane? I feel the nude and black are so classy where as the rose, although it is not my true nude I feel it could be more versatile.

Adelfa I like what you said about the black accenting my hair, that is true. To answer your question, I mostly have earthy colors in my closet like deep greens, grays, creams, a lot of taupe shades, deep blues, and golds.

Rute, oh yes I am sooo very tempted to keep the rose, but I really dig that black strap on the nude. In fact, I originally was going to walk out with the nude and black but at the last moment I couldnt help but try on the rose. since I couldnt decide after that, I bought both.

Thistle, these are actually very very comfy. The description says something like 4.5 inches, but it feels more like 3 inches. The heel is very gradual, so your foot isn't crazy steep in them. I'm sure you could totally rock these any day.

I don't think you can go wrong with either pair. Hard choice for me between the two, it's such a toss up. A nude-ish pump like the rose is really versatile, but so are black and white/off white color blocked shoes and both are very on trend. Can you keep both -- especially since you find them comfortable? The sale price is like two for one!
