Shoes + Tights = Surprise In-Shoe slippage.

I was feeling pretty good about my outfit for today, which includes the DKNY block heels in #1.

Pretty good, that is, until I had to walk from my car to work. As it turns out when I wear these shoes with slippery tights, my foot slides way to the front of the shoe as I walk, leaving me with the following options:

- Hobble like an ungainly Faun
- Saunter at a stately (tortoise-like) pace

Goshdarnit. :< I think the last time I wore these I had trouser socks underneath and I just took them off. I'm sticking a post it in these babies that says "No Hose!"

Anyone else had this problem?

ETA - removed doom from title as in retrospect it was a little dramatic, haha. I'm just annoyed that for the rest of the day I have to walk at the speed of fiftyone shipping.

I don't tend to wear heels, so that particular problem I haven't really had, but I have noticed that some of my socks don't do well with certain shoes, and cause rubbing spots or they are too thick or thin or whatever. So I have boot socks and shoe socks, pretty much

I was afraid you fell in them, so I'm glad your doom wasn't that bad! I can't wear heels that high or most shoes without hosiery of some kind, but it doesn't sound fun.

Ahhhh... Yes, I know what you are talking about. Stuff some toilet paper on the tip of the shoe, that should help you for now.

I get this problem a lot and it's often because the toe box is a little deep or wide for my foot. I solve it by adding a half insole in most of my shoes.

I also have a half-insole of gel to reduce slippage!

Good luck with the TP; if that doesn't work, slap down a bandage into the toe box in the bottom for a temp fix!

Those shoes are gorgeous!

Yes, I have this problem occasionally. Some masking tape in your shoe might help. Or one of those little flower shaped pads for the ball of the foot - my only problem with these is that I can feel the squeeze. They're thin, but I can still feel how room they take up.

I have narrow heels so I occasionally will add a heel grip. A ball of foot cushion might help too. Good luck, those shoes are beautiful!

Another vote for a half-insole, which I use all the time. Of course, that won't help you cross the parking lot!
