I've had more luck finding regular width shoes that are comfortable for my "c" width feet, than wide shoes. Since I've tried on many, many, many shoes I figure I'll share my few victories in case they help others.
The first is the Pour la Victoire Ritz. They are comfortable for me without stretching! They are available in three colors for $113.

The second is the Cole Haan Alisa oxford. These I did get stretched for $7 at the cobbler. I tried the wide version of the Cole Haan Lunargrand oxford and found it too wide. I ended up getting these in two colors (not pictured) - blue with pink soles and black with purple soles. One I got at the Cole Haan outlet for $86 and the other at Nordstrom Rack for $80.
I found a pair of adorable Tory Burch pumps at Nordstrom Rack and these are comfortable without stretching. I still see these at Nordstrom Rack (in a mustard/navy stripe print, too).

Another wonderful find was this pair of Kate Spade sandals. I don't know the name of them since they were in the wrong box at Neiman Marcus Last Call. But on the off chance you're like me and were going to give up trying on Kate Spade medium width shoes, I figured I'd share the only picture I could find. This isn't my listing.

Like many others, I found the Sam Edelman Okala's comfortable. I tried the regular width and the wide width (available online from Nordstrom) and decided on the wide width. I tried the nude color, too, but it was too dark for my fair skin.
I had luck with the Sam Edelman Orly shoes as well, in medium width without stretching. These are still at Nordstrom Rack. I got them in black.
I found the Sam Edelman boots at Nordstrom Rack. They are so comfortable I wore them to the airport on a trip. Again, no stretching.
I found the Via Spiga knee high boots at Nordstrom Rack. They look great and are comfortable without stretching. I'm a size 6 and don't have big calves and they are very form fitting on my legs.
I found the Born sandals below at Nordstrom Rack. I found them in black and they are very comfortable. Worth keeping an eye out for if you have "c" width feet.
I found a pair of Burberry low black pumps that are beautiful at Nordstrom Rack. After being stretched, they are comfortable!
This is embarrassing, but the reason I'm getting all these new shoes is I recently found out I've been wearing the wrong shoe size. It's no wonder I found it impossible to find comfortable shoes. So, if you are in doubt at all, get your feet measured. I was wearing 6.5 or 7's and I'm actually between a 5.5 and 6. At least I'm in comfortable shoes now!
