Shoes of Prey - has anyone tried customizing their shoes?

I just saw that Shoes of Prey can be customized. Has anyone tried this? This is such a fantastic idea especially for those of us who can't manage high heel heights!

I haven't tried it yet, but a very stylish woman I know was raving about it recently! Then an ad popped up for Shoes of Prey just yesterday and I checked out the site. May have to give it a try sometime!

We bought our moms gift cards to do this a few years ago. They both designed flats. The quality and fit seemed good. I think the main downside is there are so many choices it's actually hard to commit.

I haven't tried them, but if you want more info, I would try looking at the blogs Alterations Needed and Extra Petite. Both bloggers wear very small shoe sizes, and I think they have both tried SOP, which carries very small sizes.

My sister-in-law in Canada, who is plus-sized and has very wide feet, got some. One of her feet is bigger than the other.

Some Nordstrom stores sell them if you want to try them on. You can also read the reviews about fit and comfort. The ladies my family thought they were comfortable, but they don't have fussy feet.

I've owned several pairs of shoes from them. The quality is good, but not great. On par with Nine West. You pay a premium for being able to style your own shoes. On the other hand, you get exactly the combo you order, which is pretty awesome. I wanted silver pointy-toe wedges and I got them, twice. Also, they were really really great about exchanges and remakes.

seconding everything K.Period. said...about 3 years ago i couldn't find a pair of navy flats anywhere, so that's what i designed from Shoes of Prey, and that's what i got. nothing really special in terms of quality or style, but they filled a hole.
