shoes from amazon

always trying

my sneakers from amazon came yesterday. I will not be returning them as they are perfect, but strangely they had no order info, no papers at all. Only shoe box inside a bigger packing box. Inside were only the shoes and packing material. Is this strange?

This seems to be par for the course with Amazon. I regularly order all sorts of things from them. Sometimes there is a paper with order info in the box and sometimes there is nothing. All of the order info is online in my account if I need it, but yes, not having a packing document of sorts in the box does seem strange.

Yes, it's strange. I order from Amazon all the time, and there's always a packing slip inside. If you want to return something, you go to the website, find the order, and print a return label.

always trying: it's happened to me, although it's not the norm. Was the item sent from Amazon or from another vendor?

A while ago there were several news stories about the appalling working conditions at Amazon's packing plants. The workers are under such tremendous pressure to do their work ultra-quickly and efficiently, I wouldn't be surprised if sometimes they forgot to include a packing slip. Or perhaps Amazon has figured out a way to further cut costs by saving on printing paper?

Often no packing slips, esp. if thru Amazon Prime -- like my Bialetti expresso maker that arrived today -- Sunday! Not even instructions, but this was a replacement for an inferior copy.

This is kind of a new trend but I thought it was intentional and less wasteful. I don't really need a packing slip because everything's recorded at my account.

About half my Amazon orders have a packing slip. Pretty irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. And the Sunday delivery thing...USPS is trying to grab the Amazon contract from UPS. As kind of a "proof" they can deliver, the USPS is now delivering Amazon (only Amazon) packages on Sundays.
