Shoes for swap--size 6 and 6.5

These are pretty comfy but somehow I just don't like how they look on my foot. They are a true red--neither tomatoey or bluish. I like the 80's feel to them though.

I'm not going to lie: these shoes kill my feet. They are marked as a 6.5B but they are definitely narrow. My feet are wide but I can usually wear medium shoes. These make my toes lie on top of each other though. I only wear them for interviews. Once the interview is over, I change. They show a lot of wear on the soles because I got them used, but the uppers are in very good condition. If you have a narrow foot, they would be great.

Turquoise patent Steve Madden flats, 7 (fit like a 6.5):

I so wanted these to work. I got them on ebay but they aren't real leather. In fact, I'm not even sure if they're really Steve Madden but that's what the label says. They should be fine on someone without fussy feet.

I'm not sure if anyone else can wear these. The heel was much too wide for me and they kept flopping off and eventually caused some nasty blisters.

Marimekko sneakers, 36/6:

I'm kind of hesitant to give these up. They were not very comfy when I wore them, but I love them so much I am still trying to find a way to make them work. I think I have decided that I will only give them away for a swap. Sorry if that sounds greedy of me :p I will of course let you try them on before sending me anything, and if you have given me swap items in the past, I won't ask anything in return.

As for return swaps, you needn't send me anything except for those Marimekko shoes. If you have anything that would fit me that you no longer want, I can take a look at it.

Wait, drat, I just realized the turquoise shoes are a 7 and not a 6.5 BUT the reason I got them in a 7 was because they ran small. Sorry about the mistake. Let me know if you still want to try them.

Maya, I've been looking for red shoes and the first pair is so close to what I had in mind! I've been a heels girl through and through (I'm 5' 1") and am having to wrap my head around the whole flats image. You all look so amazing in flats, now I'm actually tempted to try them Hmmm...I'm going to post some of my shoe-closet orphans in a bit. Maybe something in there you might like.

Niva, they do have an itty bitty heel, so maybe they would be a good way to ease you into flats If you want to try them, let me know. I know you would look great in them!

Well like I said, it's a true red. Neither very orange or very blue. I managed to find a picture in my order history from Zappos (all the way to 2004!).

Aw, shoot. A 7 is probably pushing it for me, unfortunately.

They are cute - even if not real leather (and my Me-Too's aren't real leather either, so I'm really not as picky about shoes- comfort trumps material for me). Hope they go to a good home!

My second choice were the red kitten heels but I already have three pairs of red shoes so I'm more than covered there. That rounded toe is so wonderful. Really cute! Can't wait to see Angie in them.

I kind of had a feeling those red shoes would end up going to Angie. I know she'll get a lot of use out of them if they fit. Fingers crossed!

Shiny, I'll keep my eye out for something else for you. I feel bad for taking your gorgeous dress and having nothing to give in return. I used to have SO much petite stuff that I ended up having to give away because it always shrunk and became too short! I wish I knew you then. Blast!

Maya, are you SURE you want to give up those red shoes? What don’t like about them on your feet? To me, they look like a “Maya shoe”.

Angie, they are a very "me" shoe. But something about them is off to me. Maybe the vamp is higher than I'm used to. I'll take a picture of them on my foot tomorrow so you can see what they look like.

I wear a 6.5 in Cons. I am intrigued.

I think they are medium width. I can't remember if there are any toe cleavage issues with them.

Not to steal your thread but, may I ask - how many shoe-size 6's do we have here? Because I have a box of shoes I'd totally forgotten about and I am thinking every last pair should go... since, well, I'd forgotten about them ...... so obviously I am not wearing them for one reason or another. I think it's a mix of uncomfortable shoes barely worn (which may work for others), and many shoes that might not meet YLF standards. What is the etiquette with that?

Shiny, I'm going to guess that there are a lot of 6's. It seems to be a popular size (it certainly sells out fast enough).

I put some shoes I found excruciating here, not because I want to torture other people's feet, but because what is painful for one person might be dreamy for another. I think that's fair. As for shoes that might not meet YLF standards, I'm curious to know what sins you're hiding from us

I am not really sure what shoes are in that box anymore. It's in DH's "storage cave" (he's a pack rat therefore he has an "area" in our house I let him junk and then deliberately ignore, for sake of our marriage). So this shoe box is very hard to get at - and very easy to forget. But I remembered recently and asked him to dig it out.... so I could make room for....more of his junk.

Many of the shoes are definitely pre-YLF stuff, which is my worry - I don't want to fob off unstylish shoes on people aiming to be stylish. I am going to guess half of them are probably black shoes, which I rarely wear anymore anyway.

But, I will hopefully get motivated to take some pics soon. Not sure about this weekend - DH and I are having a 3-day weekend because Monday is marathon and we never miss (not running it; we live near the course so we are watching), and the weather is supposed to be SWEET.

I also have a few coats I may part with too. I think they are YLF approved, just not for me (too long, wrong color, wardobe orphan etc). I will start another swap thread - once I get my act together!
