Shoes - are these "the ones"?

So thank you so much for everyone's input on my other thread (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....g-footwear) regarding shoes for spring. I've narrowed it down to a pair of red Mary-Jane pumps. Could these Miz Mooz ones be it? Love the slightly retro look to the style, they seem to be a very rich true red, and the heel is definitely manageable.

Love those too Rita - and yes, great price point! I'll check and see if they have them on the Canadian site. I actually think for my "shoe wardrobe" I need:

- nude heels
- red mary jane's
- animal print wedges
- green pumps (ordered)

Yay!! That sounds like a great plan! I was totally random in my shoe shopping last year and now I have some regrets... this sounds like a perfect shoe wardrobe with no regrets!

Oh, I love those Naturalizers!

The red ones I feel less strongly about because something about it feels twee - I think it is the very rounded toe combined with mary jane styleing and button. Almost like you could scale it down and fit it on a young girl as well. That said, it is a very pretty color and may look more sophisticated done up in an outfit and on a foot.

Random observation : Red Mary Janes have an "Alice in Wonderland" connotation. I'm OK with that, I own a pair, but you might get a silly comment here and there.

Question - I see you live in Canada - have you ordered from Amazon.com before? If so, how is their shipping? & return fees? I have ordered from Infinityshoes.com and they're shipping to Canada is $24.95 for the first pair, and $10 for additional pairs.

I see Rae's point, Shannon, but I think for your slightly retro style these would work. I was eyeing them, too. The only thing is, they will not spell "tough" or "edgy" the way your boots do. I am currently struggling with this same issue re summer shoes. So some other element of the outfit will have to do that job, right?

Love your shoe wardrobe ideas! Wow, you are fast at working this through. I'm still in nowhere's land with my own thought process...except the Saras are on order in two sizes!

Oh I'm glad you think my shoe wardrobe sounds thorough Rita - I think with those choices at my fingertips (or is that "toe tips?) every outfit will have a pair of shoes to go with it!

Unfortunately the Canadian Naturalizer site does not have those shoes Rita

Rae - I hear what you're saying. Maybe I should see if I can find a slightly more mature version of the red Mary Jane.

Suz - from all my searching online and in a couple of stores last night, there's no such thing as a "tough" pair of red Mary Jane pumps!!! I do realize the shoes will not add that edge for me so will have to add the edge in another way (jewelry, jacket, etc.). I'm excited to see how the Saras work for you!

Dottie - I've ordered a number of times from the Amazon and have had excellent service. I've received my orders quickly (every time earlier than the expected delivery date) but delivery isn't cheap. The green shoes I just ordered were $8.98 for delivery PLUS $26.96 for import fees/duty.
Zap - I saw those Miz Mooz too but I'm not as crazy about the colour. Too dark and not enough of a true red for my personal liking.

Shannon, I like the taupe Naturalizers the best.

For a red shoe, I would stick with a pump not a Mary Jane because it is leg shortening.

I am SO tempted by the Fluevogs.

Una and Zapotee have the Malibrans and LOVE them. I would really like a pair but my local store did not have a size that fit me; be warned you may not wear your regular size with Fluevogs; sizing is inconsistent.

Shannon...do you want to order the Naturalizers to be delivered to me in the states and I could then send them to you? PM me if you do. Or I could try to pick up your size in a store if we could figure out where they sell them in NYC.

Suz - you are such a sweetheart. I would love to take you up on your offer but I find Naturalizer very hit and miss in terms of comfort and fit and would want to try them on first. I'll pop by my local store and see what they have.

Denise - absolutely no need to apologize silly! I take on all and any suggestions - especially from one as stylish as you and a fellow "shortie"!

Unfortunately the first four shoes you provided links too are too high in the heel for me - I can't do any more than 3 inches, at the absolute most. Too hard on my previously dislocated knee!

But I absolutely LOVE the Miz Mooz Fonda pump you linked to - how the heck did I miss that? And the Nine West Reaves platform pump - also gorgeous. Will look at both of these seriously!

I've bought from Amazon many times so no worries there! Thanks for the links - you're a sweetheart to take the time!

My favorites are the Miz Mooz mary janes you first posted. The heel on that shoe keeps them from being too twee to my eye and the red color is gorgeous. I have one pair of Miz Mooz and they were so comfortable right out of the box.
