Shoe Storage and a new pair...

I spent the day reorganizing my shoe rack to get ready for warm temperatures that my weather man says will be here by Sunday and staying for awhile...So took a picture... My husband currently has three shelves, but is well aware that he may well have to resort to putting all his on the floor underneath his bottom row of clothes... We double hung our closet a few years ago and added this rack which was literally a game changer in my life...

These shoes I bought off Ebay and they are in brand new condition...looking at the bottoms it doesn't look like they were ever worn! They are Franco Sartos that I picked up for $20 including shipping.For more of my Ebay purchases recently you can check out my blog..

Love the new shoes, they rock. So the shoe rack only holds summer shoes? I have some serious shoe shopping ahead to get anywhere near your collection lol.

I just counted and not including steel-toes and my work boots, I only have 15 pairs of shoes.

My fussy feet cant imagine finding that many pairs of shoes that dont hurt. I am a bit jealous of your collection! They sure look like a great place to start when building fun outfits.

What a rack! ;). You organized your closet so beautifully, there doesn't seem an inch of space wasted. The collection is amazing. I have no space for shoe rack in my closet, even though I don't share (but utilize the closet for some storage as well as our master bedroom is not big), maybe I need to reorganize it a bit. My shoe collection is nowehere near though LOL.

OK...about that rack. Is is custom built? Or did you buy it somewhere? And if you bought it, how sturdy is it? Can you tell I have too many shoes for the storage space that I have?

I found these stackable shoe racks at Sam's Club and they are very sturdy. My boots are on bookshelves that are along one wall in MBR.. My husband just got me those in January and I am very happy! Here is a post i did on the bookshelves...

Organizing my large wardrobe is a must!!!!!

I also use bookshelves for my boots and shoes!!! My bookworm friends would be so disappointed in me if they knew.

I pretty much have my clothes organized for spring / summer but I am doing the shoe switch this weekend as it looks like spring is finally here. I keep my out of season pairs in clear shoe boxes stacked on the top shelf of my closet. The in season ones are displayed similarly to yours. I'll post too after I switch!

I think the bookshelves are a great idea. I've got some built ins and that's where I keep clutch purses, some jewelry, "occasion" shoes and purses, etc.
