Thanks Thistle.
Yes Suz, I tried on the Bardot's with all sorts of inserts but still no go.
I have not given up though. Will go back and try again.
I tried on various pairs of booties as well as shoes on Monday and while some of them were a bit better they were not a keeper. Did not walk totally out of them but enough so that I sort of fell...do you know what I mean?
I have a narrow foot as well. The SA said part of my problem is that my socks don't fit even though they are the proper "size" as my foot is too narrow and my heel insanely so. Went over to a specialty socks place on the way home to try some.
You are not allowed to try them on even with a pantyhose type knee high underneath, they have no trials and no returns. I did buy two pairs though. One is a lovely cashmere Italian sock which I bought a smaller size in but they are very short and very thin. I do believe they will rip where they are knit at the side of the heel as the threads are a bit stretched. The other pair, which were not for shoes, are the most wonderful thick wool socks on earth that are too thick to be worn in shoes but great for bumming around the house. The SA gave me the wrong size which I did not notice in the store. Boy am I mad! Two pairs of socks and over $50 of which neither fit. I called ther company of the thick socks as they are local and if I come out to their location or the flea market in Morrisberg they will let me try them on. That is a real bonus and I did not know they existed and since I am always freezing cold these are wonderful. They have different weights too so I can bring shoes and boots and try them on...whoo hoo.
