I brought home these GB tan leather oxfords to try out because they really fit well, yet have a slightly refined toe shape, and are a good color and style for jeans, white or blue and for lighter-colored pants, spring-summer-fall. A sort of HEWI since I've tried and rejected a number of nude/tan oxfords. And I still really like oxfords though the trajectory may be downward, so after a year of looking I hated to pass these up. In the right oxford I get a good fit, due to lace-up, and works with ankle pants, which I've been trying due to getting a different silhouette that way, compared to trousers.

Should I lose sleep over whether trending or not, or just march to my own drummer?

Then the combination of the oxford in the KS sneaker appeared--how fun. Has anyone seen these? I think I wish they were buff instead of gold--can't tell just how gold. Of course I could not wear to work even if not gold, except maybe a weekend.

I still prefer trying to keep a more refined shoe silhouette plus comfort and so did not want to go back to the big chunky athletic shoe, even for sporty luxe. Hoping for some hybrids. I'm not even sure why that is, since I need the comfort; maybe because I have given up the white trainer more recently than some, so it feels too soon to go back!
