Shoe Selection Help, Please

Same outfit. Two shoe choices. Which do you prefer? I'm torn about keeping or returning the taupe sandals, as the color is somewhat unusual and I'm not sure how flexible they will be. In terms of this outfit, which look do you prefer?

Also, WIW yesterday.

slight preference for the black. I like the taupe sandals, but they dont' seem to work with the color of the top.

I actually rather like the taupe...It is unusual, but I have alot of this color in my wardrobe and find it versitle...a neautral really:)

With this outfit I prefer the black cage heels.

Both shoes are nice, so it depends on which ones you will wear more. I think I like the black better with the outfit, but I don't have a strong preference.

I like your WIW yesterday outfit very much! You look tall - are you? The jeans are great, so if you are tall, I'd love to know the brand and style, as I am always looking for pants/jeans that I can wear with heels (I'm 5'10" with very long legs). I am also forever looking for the elusive white button-down shirt. They never fit me right because I have broad shoulders, gorilla arms, and a narrow torso. Your shirt looks great, though!

I vote black! I'm not a huge fan of the taupe shoes, because they seem almost pinky-mauvey, but that might just be a personal thing, or the way the color looks in the pic vs. RL.

I prefer the black with this; they look so nice with your pants. How do the taupe look with your skintone? Are they nude or more neutral?

For this outfit I too vote black, but I really quite like the sandals in taupe as well;-)

Your other outfit is absolutely gorgeous too, you rock white button-downs, Kyle. Also: you have such an amazing jewellery collection, I love the pendant and the necklace.

And yes, that is a beautiful tee, both you and Angie have a very good idea for things like this!

I prefer the black for outfit #1. I think #2 would look just as nce with either one.

However, as Taylor mentioned, that taupe color is super versatile. I actually was able to make do with just one pair of sandals, in that color, for a business trip last week. I left my black shoes at home by mistake. Surprisingly, they worked with every outfit I wore that week.

I like the black. the taupe is not different enough from the top and not the same enough to create a balance if that makes sense. i also think that taupe will not be as versatile with the colors that you wear. Love you in that white blouse, I have never seen you in anything that does not scream sensational!

Suz, the khaki and black are both the same sandals (the Vince Camuto Edita, Alicat). I had the black ones first and repeated them in the neutral because I knew would wear a neutral, comfortable sandal a lot. But the color is odd against my skin, and I just can't get past it. They have a grey-ish cast to them. Since I would only wear them with pants, back they go. There are lot of other nude sandals, and I'll find the right color.

Devon, I am also 5'10" with a 35-36 inch inseam. These jeans are Seven for All Mankind flares. The blouse is Brooks Brothers no iron. I want to repeat it in black.

You always look sensational. I agree with what Greenglove said about the color of the sandals. Do you have greys in your wardrobe? I have quite a few, so this color would work for me. I have hardly any taupes. So it depends on what you have.

For this outfit I like black better: they blend with the pants and then have these unexpected cutouts showing skin I love that!
You should try taupe shoes in other outfits before returning them: they may work well.
Too bad 7FAM do not fit me well...they look great on you. How long is this BB shirt - is it a "correct" length for pants as per Angie? I am struggling to find long enough shirts to wear with pants and BB do not specify length on their website.
