I recently purchased the Topshop shoes from Nordstrom. Although they are not leather, they are quite comfortable on my high-volume feet. The side cut-outs are a fab detail, and the pointed toe makes them on trend. However, these shoes have made me realize that white shoes are not for me, probably ever. I have tried pair after pair because I love the look on others, but I just cannot incorporate them into my mostly dark wardrobe.

The Kate Spade "Go" taxi flats, on the other hand, are completely fab. They run TTS, and they are one of the few pairs of flats that is comfortable for me, despite my slightly wide, high volume feet. Surprising, since these have a pointed toe. They are well constructed and such a fun style. I was sure that they would be too narrow or too pinchy in the toes, but I am so shocked that they FIT. I just love them. While they are mostly light colours, somehow they are far easier to style, even with a mostly black outfit, than white shoes.

The Kate Spade shoes have been out of stock since fall 2013, and I was surprised to see that Nordies had them back in stock. I wasn't going to miss my opportunity a second time, so I ordered them immediately!

Oh, my gosh, how cute are those taxi shoes! Glad they worked out so well for you.
I'm also not a white-shoe wearer. But I picked up a pair of sandals with a white front on them today. Sometimes it seems if Angie suggests wearing something, I dutifully obey, whether I intended to or not!

I love those taxi flats! I'm not a white shoe wearer, either...I think I wore them for my first communion, high school graduation and my wedding. I always thought they made my feet look bigger. The only exception would be white Keds! But those flats will probably prove to be more versatile than you might think!

I'd love to be able to wear them to meetings, but I work in a school. Indeed, I am applying for a new position next year! I love wearing unusual shoes to school (and fun jewelry, too) because the kids think it is so much fun. I wore my black and white oxfords, and a child asked me if they were bowling shoes. I imagine they will have a great time with the taxi flats.

I don't think I will wear them to the interview, though. I don't want to wear anything too stand-outish, and I and not even going to wear my normal jewelry. I will go for business casual, understated, but still with a little personal style. My interview is Wednesday - EEK!

Oh, and on the subject of the taxi flats, I'd love a coordinating handbag, but the taxi clutch just isn't doing it for me. I'd probably buy it except I hate the flip side of it that says, "Off Duty." The polka dot clutch with the mini cab on the top is fab, but it is sold out everywhere from what I can tell.

How about a black bag with white dots (like your Find but without the cab on top).

Oh definitely not interview wear! But perfect for teaching. I used to work with children, too, and my wardrobe included lots of turquoise, pinks & purples, because the little ones responded to the happiness factor, and so did I. I kept black clothing for off-times. (Black is for witches!) I think you're right about the Taxi clutch--in the picture, it doesn't even seem to be the same yellow as the flats. Maybe a crisp black & white clutch that would work with the Topshops, the Taxis, and your oxfords? (There may be one featured in Finds; I seem to remember seeing one here somewhere.) There's a neat white python clutch on sale at J. Crew, too. Might be worth checking out.

Echo, one more handbag possibility: the Steve Madden "Sashaa" bag on the DSW site, a neat looking black & white striped faux leather foldover clutch with a big yellow tassel. Oh--and good luck with the job interview!

I LOVE these KS shoes. I am actually considering ordering them now that you've showed them, but I'm not sure if they'll fit my little block feet. I'm always looking for interesting shoes! I can totally see Goldenpig/Natalie constructing a matchy outfit around them.

Oh, and just to add, my silver shoes are the equivalent of white shoes for me - I'm not comfortable in any white footwear.

Una: I don't know about your foot shape, but these might be worth a try. They are leather and leather lined as well. They run TTS, but slightly generous perhaps. And yes, I was channeling Natalie when I ordered these (I never showed them on the forum, but I was a Natalie-copy-cat when I bought the Tory Burch dragonfly heels, too)! While I don't do the matchy-matchy nearly as well as she does, I almost invariably love her shoes and jewelry. Indeed, if I had to identify style inspirations (and this is not to say that EVERYONE here is not an inspiration), it would be you and Natalie. Very different styles, but I identify strongly with both.

I have loved those shoes since I first laid eyes. I just never had the guts to actually do what my inner wild thang tells me to!! I am glad they are comfy-- I have one pair of KS flats and they are pretty good too. Cannot wait to see how you work these beauties. So fun and I know they will draw people to you so be ready!

I love those taxi cab flats. I would love to see them with a black and white gingham shirt and a yellow Halogen seamed pencil skirt and a fun clutch (the Hermes one, sadly, is $2500...).

Oh, and I totally agree with you and count Una as one of my style inspirations...my shadow style is her primary style and she admitted her shadow style is very Kate Spade, so we are like yin and yang!

Wow, wow, wow! I love the whole taxi ensemble you put together, Natalie! Amazing you found all those things! I especially love the taxi clutch and the key fob. Where is the key fob from? That could transform an average clutch into a matching piece with the shoes!

And I just had to have those dragonfly shoes, despite me not having the lifestyle to wear them much. I have them on a shelf and they make me smile every time I look at them. I will definitely post a WIW next time I put them on. I also coveted that Kate Spade mother of pearl necklace you have, but it was sold out everywhere by the time I tried to locate it. I am such a copy-cat!
