shoe issues

I received these yesterday and am in love with the quirky style (thanks Angie for mentioning the brand in one her posts a few days ago) .

However they are a bit tight on the widest part of my foot.. and i dont want to return them .. because they are very 'me' and i cant find my size, the color and the price anywhere else.
So does anyone have experience with Faryl Robin shoes..do they stretch out a bit after wearing a few times?

And if not, I've heard some of you ladies mention going to a shoe repair shop to get shoes stretched. I have never done it before. Is it possible to get them stretched by about half an inch at the toe box?

Mirah those shoes are adorable! I don't have any experience with this brand, but in general leather does tend to stretch with wear.
I did however have my shoes stretched at the shoe repair store and it worked well.
I'd ask the cobbler whether it's possible or not to stretch them the amount you want before committing to the process.

You can

1) buy some shoe stretch liquid. Saturate the part of the shoe that you want to stretch and just walk around for at least 20 minutes while the liquid dries. It temporarily relaxes the leather so it readjusts to the shape of your foot. This only stretches out a tiny bit and in my experience isn't usually enough (I have duck feet though).

2) If that doesn't work, you can buy your own shoe stretcher. Use the liquid again, insert the stretcher with any plugs you might need (plugs focus the stretching on a specific area), and let it sit at least overnight, but ideally 24-48 hours. That will stretch it a little bit more.

3). The cobbler will be able to stretch it the most, but make sure you mention that you only want it stretched at the toe box and not all over the shoe, otherwise it will be wide everywhere and slip off your foot.

The shoes are really adorable, worth trying to work with.
I bought a pair of heels and they killed my feet after a 2 hour test of just hanging around the house, so I knew they weren't going to work for me. I returned them and bought a half size larger and went off to another city to the function I bought them for. The half size bigger was too big and I couldn't walk without tripping as they fell off my heals each step.
When I got back to my home town I went back to the store where I bought them (Nordstrom's) and was told that I should have kept the smaller size and have them stretched, so that's what we did and now I am happy.
Half an inch sounds like an awful lot though. I think you should get more information on how much they can be stretched before you mess with them. I believe Nordstrom's will stretch them even if you didn't buy from them. I hope it works for you.

thanks all..I know chunky heels are not considered very stylish but I find them comfortable..and being comfortable tends to make me feel more stylish than anything else

Maya, I have duck feet too..and i love shoes like most of us here... Bad combination. And thank you so much for the detail instructions.. I do hope something will work.

San, thanks.. I will try Nordstrom..so far havent found the higher size(9.5) in these shoes...i already ordered half a size more to accomodate my wide feet. I am not sure I need them stretched by half an inch..just enough so they dont pinch after walking a while.

Wow, these are the best shoes ever! I love them. I have no tips on how to make the fit work, and usually I would advise passing on them if the fit seems off by so much, but they sure are sweet sweet sweet! Sorry if this isn't helpful
