Hi ladies!
In her fit issues thread, Sparky suggested I should start my own thread about my shoe fit issues in the hope one of you ladies could possibly help me out.
I have extremely fussy feet. I have a medical condition that causes poor circulation and messed-up nerve conduction in my feet, so they are often cold and painful, or numb. I under-pronate and have extremely high arches. This means I need a shoe with some cushion, and also arch support. I do have orthotics that I wear, but they are fairly deep because of the cushion and high arches so they are very difficult to fit into anything other than sneakers. I have talked to the doc that does them for me and he made me a 3/4 pair, but they still have the depth issue. I have tried ordering larger or wider shoes, but wides are two wide side to side, and with my nerve issues I can't wear shoes that are too large in length because I will trip over them.
I have tried almost every comfort brand out there and they just haven't cut it. There is one brand of flip flops I can wear, and one brand of nursing shoes that I can wear but they only make clogs and I can't keep them on/trip over them when I am having nerve issues and can't wear them in the winter, and I have my old lace up cowboy boots that are about to die, and of course sneakers with my orthotics. However, I haven't been able to find a pair on non-athletic sneakers, or any other shoes or boots I could wear this winter.
Do you ladies have any recommendations?
