If there was a "window shopping" category, I would've chosen it.

I do not need shoes right now, but these have me trying to come up with reasons I "should" get them. But really, I shouldn't. The only kind of shoes I need to think about getting right now are whatever a less-ugly version of the original Crocs would be--something I can slip my feet into for a quick run out to the mailbox or to take out the trash. These are not garbage shoes! Of course, if I was going to get some, I wouldn't be able to choose, so I'd have to get them all.

Ha! It must be! These are a far cry from "tramping boots" style! I like the Betty 2 in the bluey-grey colour the best

Joy, I have 2 pairs of blue shoes here, haven't worn either one of them. As much as I love the colorway of those blue shoes (and I do!), they wouldn't work for me. The pink ones would probably be most useful, if I were buying shoes. But I'm sticking to what I said in the original post--not. buying. boots, even if it kills me.

Would it really matter if you mostly had boots, if they are what you love? I have realised this summer how many sandals I have, almost all with back straps, except for the few pairs of jandals which obviously don't. I kept putting backless summer shoes on my wish list, but I realised I don't wear my one pair of mules much, and slides are likely to have the "slap" noise problem I posted about. What I really love to wear in summer is sandals. So I think I should just embrace it.
I love both those boots you own, the red ones don't look like tramping boots at all! Ha, I might need to search back and find that old post of yours.

I like boots for a while, and then my feet just need to be free. Switching them out helps some, but so do a day or two in simple, flat, lightweight shoes like these Borns. They are just barely enough for winter, so my next winter shoes will probably be slip-ons that are easy for running to the market or the like, lighter weight and less structured than boots, and warmer than the Borns.

Jenni NZ, I saw a young woman today wearing what I could swear were these boots, from that list. She looked cute and energetic and strong, but I realized that in the same boots, I might look like a haggard old woman, even though that is not me.

I found the old post last night! It was called Fresh Love or something like that. And yes your beautiful metallic floral boots were on the list. So glad you got them and not the ones above! I think the ones above are the most tramping-boot-like, and were the particular pair I didn't like. But you did say at the time that they would look quite different with the cuffs up.
And I don't think you'd look like a haggard old woman!

I just realized those don't have fleece on the fold-over part. Hers did.
