Shoe disappointment

These Homyped Nadias arrived yesterday. Nicely made, a bit darker than I was expecting and WAY too big. And I ordered the smallest size in that colour.

Might be back to black shoes after all.

Wow that's a crazy size difference. Are those the only brand of comfort shoe that works for your foot needs? I'm wondering if there might be a light colored shoe in another brand.

No they aren't the only brand - but their shoes are about $100 cheaper than the other brand I like, Ziera http://zierashoes.com/Style/715/cali?cat=12 - and i think nicer than the only light coloured Ziera one ( I am not keen on patent this time and I can take a higher heel)

Those are way too big! I'm sorry because they look like they would have been great shoes for work outfits. Please don't settle for something that isn't quite right if you can avoid it. Maybe more choices will become available in a week or so.

Hi Anne, so disappointing, they looke good on your foot, or they would. Have you tried Paul Carroll in the city? I did a quick search and they have a variety if brands in a Mary Jane style. Some of them are expensive though.

Wow. That is an incredible size difference. Are you sure they are not mislabeled? Gosh. Terrible! They look as if they would have been a good "nude for you" shoe. I am sorry.

Yes - this was my normal size and it was the size printed on the shoe. Mind you my real shoe size is probably half a size smaller, but there aren't many 5.5 shoes made and I usually get by on a 6. The shoe went down to a 5 in the black.
Helen - I did look at Paul Carroll a month or so back and found some black ones there that would be acceptable as a backup. However I have looked at the website and they may have some items I hadn't seen and think it would be worth visiting again! Thanks!

You have no choice but to move on. I sympathize with ordering shoes online. I do much better than I thought I would by going to sites with lots of online reviews. In the US, I find zappos, Amazon and Nordstroms especially helpful. I read as many reviews as possible to see how the shoes run, what kind of arches they work for, if there is room for an insole, etc. Don't know how much of this info is available in Australia, but you can use it regardless of where it makes sense to purchase the shoes. As a half size, it is helpful to know whether to go up or down. Zappos sells and reviews lots of Noats- some run wide, some long, some narrow, some small. They seem to spell it out well.
