Shoe dilemma - YouLookFab Forum

I need a new pair of closed shoes, with the monsoons here and winter approaching.
Now since I have tiny feet, I generally don't get my shoe size in stores. For the first time ever, I have decided to order shoes online.
There are three pairs of shoes I have my heart set on, and I can buy only one pair.

Pink ballet flats: because they are fuschia! and Fuschia is the navy blue of India

I have to walk a lot over my HUGE office campus, and generally go for flats. But this pair really appeals, though its also wayy out of my budget. So just for kicks

Adi, which city do you live in? Do you get a lot of puddles or even waterlogging to contend with? If yes, I'd avoid the suede and maybe even the spectators, though I love the brogue detailing --- actually, I think I like the pink (though simplest) best for the monsoons anyway, being a bright counterpoint to the dark skies and dark wet roads

I agree that the suede flats might be impractical. I like the second ones, but the first pair is great too. I think it would depend on what you would like to wear them with.

I love the spectator brogues but do they work with your Artistic Eclectic, Bohemian Hippie vibe?

From a western viewpoint, the second pair are far more versatile than the lovely pink ones and can be worn with skirts, capris and trousers. Good luck!

BTW the expensive shoes were my least favourite...

Yes, i hadn't actually thought about the upkeep of suede. To answer your question, Mandipa, i am in Bangalore, and my walking around is mostly in my office campus, rather than in the city.
Qpswan and astrid, i do wear lot of trousers and dark colours, so its either rebel against corporate dressing with bright pink shoes or be elegant with tan ones

Another vote for the "brogues". Or better yet, buy the pink ones too... LOL!

Seriously, I don't know your style or the contents of your wardrobe, so it's hard to say. If the pink ones make you happier and would work with your clothes, go for them. The "brogues" are an interesting twist on a classic though, and they really appeal to me.

I love the spectators, don't like the pumps (your money is safe with me! ;>), but have to vote the pink for rain.

I actually think the pink might be the most versatile, because they don't have a lot of detailing and you don't have the suede/rain issue.

What is the return policy (I know it's not always as easy to return as it is here in the US)? Since you say you find it hard to find shoes that fit, my impulse would be to order them all (well, the first three), then try them on and decide which is best in person. I assume that some percentage of any online shoe order will be an automatic no and return because they won't fit right. That's just the nature of shoe shopping.

The pink shoes are winning!! Today morning I stumbled across this picture of Suri Cruise. Check out her shoes! Is it okay that I have the style of a six year old? Oh dear

The first two are great. The others are right about suede. That will last about 1/2 a second in wet weather!
