Shoe color vs bottom color

Ok _I have this weird question... I have this brown booties that I absolutely love but I cannot think of wearing it with anything other than blue and colored denim...

My question is : Is it a deal breaker to wear it with black bottoms? Are you allowed to mix your blacks and browns? Kindly guide me ladies...

I mix my browns and blacks all the time - I just make sure I have brown somewhere else in the outfit. Eg. if I'm wearing brown boots, I wear a brown belt. There are lots of posts in the forum about mixing black with cognac - I say go for it!

You can definitely wear black with brown, I do it all the time. And your booties already have black/grey in them, so they look even more intentional than ones that are all brown. Like Krista I often wear a brown belt when I wear brown shoes with black.

Totally works. You might want to tie in some brown elements elsewhere in your ensemble.

I definitely think you can wear them with black! It looks like the sole and detailing are black anyway.

The only time I don't like brown w/ black is if the brown is really dark chocolate brown because then it's not enough contrast for me.
