Shoe advice, please: oui ou non?

I'm thinking of ordering these shoes in Pewter to wear as everyday sandals, doing errands and trotting around town. Do you like them? Do you think they'd cut my leg in a weird place?

Mac, I like the style and pewter is versatile. I have worn similar sandals before and if the leather is not soft, the top edge in the back might cut into the ankle since it is fairly high. But, I have heard only good things about this brand, so it might be a non issue. Definitely worth a try.

honestly, I think they will look "heavy" because they have so much material.

I like these shoes a lot. Shoes like this can look pretty cute with skinny jeans tucked into the top (if you wear that style, I can't remember). I personally would avoid it with skirts because I don't have a lot of leg, but I believe you are tall, so I think it is definitely worth trying.

Love love the look of them but upon reading the reviews that Kate found, and then discovering a few more reviews online, it seems that they fit about .5 a size small and the size I'd need isn't in stock.

So, thanks for helping me not order them. This was exactly the kind of information I needed to both make my decision and feel good about it (vs. my usual second-guessing myself for the next 3 days!)

Hi Mac, I really like them, but like the others, I think there is a lot of leather going on around the ankle..and that could be very uncomfortable ( I imagine ) as your feet swell a bit from the heat and just running around.

( I also LOVE the zipper in the back )

I love them but would need to see them on you to get the full effect. Try them- its Zappos- no worries!

I have the high-heel version of these (http://www.zappos.com/gentle-s.....ack-plonge). The leather is very, very soft, and they are lined in deerskin. They do take a bit of work to slide your foot into them, but then once they are on, the leather is like "buttuh" and they conform to your feet. I think the pewter is gorgeous.

Oh I love them, it's too bad they didn't work out, although I agree with Jean, since it's Zappos and returns are free, I'd try them in your usual size anyway!

Hi Mac, I bought these sandals on sale at Nordstrom's in black but returned them because they didn't work out with my fussy feet. I did NOT find that they ran a half size small, however. I just wanted to say that in case they still have your size and you want to try them! They are very nice and that is a great price for them.
