I picked up a few items last night and am itching to test wear them but am having trouble with the shoe options.

I bought the Halogen pleated skirt in polka dot pattern and was thinking to put it with a white button front shirt. Not sure which shoes would be best - booties, oxfords or tall boots. The oxfords I have are distressed pewter and SUPER comfy.

Suggestions??

I think I would have to see options on you. The skirt looks dressy the shoes sound more casual. It could work.

By the way, that is a fabulous skirt! I have a pleated one in wool for winter. A gold silk one for the other three seasons. I love them both and have had them for many years. IMO a great choice.

Love the new skirt and can see it working so well for work and also evenings out. I have no idea for footwear but hopefully more experienced ladies will chime in with some excellent suggestions.

Check Sveta's posts - she has the stripe version of this skirt. I think most could work depending on the rest of the look.
On a side note I totally snoozed when my size was in stock and am kicking myself. Do you think if I ordered up I could have it altered? Worth it? "Free" alterations at Nordies.

I think all three shoes could work but each would bring a different vibe to the outfit. It depends on whether you are looking for casual (oxfords), dressy (tall boots), or edgy (booties).

I agree, a bit of a heel for a flared skirt but could be either a bootie or tall boot. Pictures will decide.

A pointy toe flat or heeled shoe looks best with that style of skirt. I look forward to seeing the outfit.

Personally for day to day wear I go for flat, somewhat androgynous shoes with this type of skirt, so I'd choose a flat oxford or chelsea boot. I like to downplay the dressiness/girliness of the pleats and full skirt, and I like a little bit of juxtaposition. To me, a heel would be too refined, expected, and ladylike. (But this has a lot to do with my lifestyle too. I generally don't want to appear too dressy or refined at work. I might go for a heeled bootie or something if I were going to an evening event like the symphony or something, but still something a little edgy.)
