SHOE ADVICE

Looking for some shoe advice. I've had mortons neuroma a few years back, that seems to be under control. Brief stint of what was assumed plantar fasciitis and that is ok for the time being. Have to wear heels that are under three inches in height. Bunion is starting to develop and painful very occasionally. Looking for some dress shoes for the office that are comfortable and not too expensive. I'm all ears .. please let me hear some suggestions.

Are you familiar with barkingdogshoes.com? They have lots and lots of recommendations for comfortable shoes.

What is your preferred price range for shoes?

Thanks Liz .. not familiar with barkingdogshoes.com ? have to check them out. Price range that I'm comfortable in is 50 to 100 ... 120 dollars.

Sorry to hear about your foot problems, Katie. I have big wide feet to begin with (10.5 w/ww) and bunions to boot, so finding comfortable, stylish shoes is always tricky. I almost never bother shopping in stores because the selection in my size is so limited if not non-existent. Some websites to try: Zappos, Maryland Square, Online Shoes, Shoeline, Woman Within, Sofft and Nordstrom. Most of these sites offer free shipping both ways, so there's really no risk in trying them. I only end up keeping about 1 of every 3 styles I order .Here are some brands that I have luck with consistently sell stylish wider width shoes:
Aerosoles
Bella Vita (not always great quality)
Easy Spirit
Naya (some styles)
Ros Hommerson
Skechers (for casual shoes)
Sofft (their boots and clogs tend to run wider than dress shoes)
Softstyle
Softwalk
Trotters (sizing is not always consistent)
Walking Cradles

Thank you ladies! There's a lot of selections just right there. I've had bad luck ordering on line and prefer to go into a shoe store and try them on. I have shoes in sizes 9 - 9 1/2 and 10. Have running shoes in 10 1/2. High arches - wide width some of the time. Do you think that maybe it's time that I went and had my feet measured ? It has been awhile and it might not be a bad thing to do at this time

In addition to flamehood's advice from above, Naturalizer and Clarks also come in wide widths. While not everything from these brands in super-stylish, there are usually a few winners each season.

Do you have any comfort type shoe stores you could visit? They often have a variety of shoes for difficult feet. It might be a good idea to go to a store like that and just try a lot on, even styles you wouldn't consider buying. That way you can figure out what works best for you and be better able to tell if a shoe might work.

I've had good luck with Earthies, Munro, Sanita, Reiker among other brands.
