Due to increasingly fussy feet I’ve had to offload some footwear and have had more trouble than expected finding substitutes. Shoes will look like they OUGHT to be comfortable but do not pass the test. In particular I’ve not found a loafer.
I’ve added these below and will see if that proves to have been a good decision.
The Robert Zur is s new brand to me and was first shown to me in more of a driving mic in store. That one was too unstructured though soft, and too loose. These came in narrow and gave a regular heel but are still very soft. However, they are brown! Not my usual color but I’m wearing with navy and black pants. The black stitching may skew casual, but works for me as a tie- in to the pant color. I kind of pretend “ Brown is the new burgundy ! ” of course the work with denim. For work I’m trying to keep the rest of the outfit more polished to offset the shoe.

Next are more of the trusty AGL’s. Not fashion - forward but comfortable and I actually sized up another half size in these and added insert. These are billed as “ pewter” but appear slightly more bronzy than that, and also skew olive.
My hesitation was that they are more “ fancy” with the mixture of reptile and the silver band, but I plunged in anyway. Price reductions as they went through sale pricing removed a bit of the sting. When I wore them to work, I felt a bit out of my comfort zone and so, reverse- similar to the other shoes, I used juxtaposition and kept the rest of outfit neutral/simple, no added jewelry. The elements that may be a bit “much” for work will be fine for other occasions plus I think I’ll get more used to it.
