Shipping service: UK to US

I know several of you use a third party shipping service, can you recommend one?

I want to buy a poster from a UK company but the shipping charges are just as expensive as the poster itself ($30 or so). Would it be less expensive to use one of those third party services?

I used Borderfree to ship an item from US to Canada. Taxes, duties, etc. Were taken care of but my $60 item ended up costing $90 all in. It was worth it to me, because I would have paid twice that or more. I have no regrets and I'm still happy with my purchase.

Overseas has to go on a plane, so you are probably going to have to pay $$. Is this something you can get via Amazon? They usually list all the rates.

Runcarla, thank you. Turns out it is an odd size (poster tube) and needs special handling, so its going to cost me more anyway. Bit the bullet and ordered the item anyway. But, I’ll keep this in mind for later. I have my eyes on European brands for shoes.
