Shipping delays...

Hi all. I just recently ordered a few items from Everlane and it seem like delivery is taking longer than usual. Have you had shipping delays? This is the first time since the beginning of COVID that I've really bought anything and I was hoping to get my items this weekend, but DHL hasn't shipped out yet.

BTW, we just got our new 2022 Mini Countryman after a 4 month delay. I'm guessing everyone is getting hit hard.

Hi citygirldc! Word is that the shipping delays the whole world is experiencing are even worse in the US—check out Synne’s thread in off-topic.

I have done lot of shopping since COVID started, and it my experience, it is more common to have shipping delays than not to. The delays have been mostly on a minor side (several days to a week), but some have been very long.

I live near the port in Long Beach, and it's crazy! Sometimes, the whole bay is filled with ships that can't drop off their goods. I don't know all the whys and hows, but shipping has been affected big time!

Yes - we are affected. Mostly sea freight but less airlines flying means less cargo space in the belly internationally, lockdowns affecting warehouses and ports, distancing requirements to meet.

We are being warned re Xmas gifts - and the potential supply chain issues.

The US Mail is really slow too. My sister sent a package to me by priority mail and it got to me three days later than expected. The next package came a day early.

What Joy says is true: I ordered a fish spatula from the World Market across town. It came today. I ordered it so long ago, I didn’t known what it was. By contrast, the pet shop got Lilypup’s treat here within the day; they did their own delivery.
