Shiny leggings for holiday looks

Back then, I remember I just wore really shiny spandex bike pants. I had bright metallic blue ones. In my defense, I was like 8 years old. But still... this is one trend I am NEVER EVER doing again. Sorry.

Oh yeah, I had a pair of turquoise metallic leggings that I wore with an oversized striped tee, and leg warmers, baby!
I'll pass this time around, I'm too lumpy bumpy for this.

I have a such a poisoned eye for this look for adult women, probably because I disliked them as much in the eighties as I do now. While the shiny pants outfits that Angie posted a day ago could, as they were styled in her photos, just scrape by, those tight, shiny leggings remind me of how that look was so expertly satirized by Peg Bundy in Married With Children. Unless I was heading out to a 80s costume party, I'd leave this look RIP.

I would totally rock these leggings with a longer tunic or sweater dress and boots! Toning them down is how I would go, but I love them

DD, age 18, bought gold ones last year as a bit of a joke. She found them super hot so hard to wear. I found them hot in other ways and didn't want her to be mistaken as a 'ho'.
