I want to thank everyone who posted on my thread when I wrote about my outbreak of shingles, and let you all know that I am doing very well.

I did what I was told and took my anti viral meds, rested, ate well and drank lots of herbal tea. The rash and lesions have healed and there are no scars. I haven't had a headache in a week. I experienced some numbness and itchiness, but that is almost gone as well - only a little itchiness on the right side of my scalp when I get tired. Cold compresses worked and a couple of times I took a couple of Tylenol, but I didn't need anything stronger. I suspect I have dodged a bullet and will not have any permanent nerve pain.
