I have had blue or navy booties on my radar for almost a year now, and I had pinned these Modern Vice booties and kept revisiting them on the website. I looked at other blue booties, but these kept drawing me back in, so I finally ordered them.

Note to anyone thinking of ordering from them: the website doesn't make it easy. I had to do some emailing to order, but they were nice to deal with. They're a small company and they're still getting their online ordering process ironed out. The beautiful thing though is that their wares are hand made in the USA, and the quality seems really nice. Worth the effort.

Well, while I was waiting for the MV boots, these Shelly's London boots showed up at Nordstrom and then went on sale. I thought I'd try them in case the MV ones didn't work out.

The Shelly's are nice, but there's not a big contest for me. The MVs are more comfortable, I prefer the color, and the style suits me more.

But if anyone is interested in the Shelly's I'd say they are a good buy. Nice quality and distinctive style, and decent comfort. I typically wear an 8 and I ordered the 38.5, which fits with a little room.

For anyone who has checked out MV, the MVs are highly recommended. be warned, there is no padding on the bottom of the foot, but I use insoles. I think the soles could use some non-slip treatment too, but thats an easy fix. Probably best for a low volume foot.

I may have to be Team Wear and debut these today!
