I loved the look of the shearling jacket I saw a few weeks ago but I didn't love that it was faux. It just didn't seem like it would stand the test of time. Anna and Rae were kind enough to post some alternatives and I became a little bit obsessed with one of them. It is sold out in the stores. I got it from ebay so this is a keep or pass. I'm sure I would have no trouble reselling it. The look is intentionally RATE, the leather is washed and distressed slightly.
1-3) funnel neck buttoned all the way up. I think it fits best this way. The collar is very warm and I think it will be very practical in winter.
4-5) the funnel neck left open. It's a little unwieldy this way, though I might try to play around with it to see if I can get it to work. I like how the bottom looks asymmetrical when it is unbuttoned.
6) waist seam sits at my waist... this is a miracle in a non-petite coat!
So can I cut the tags, or does this beauty belong in someone else's wardrobe?
Either way, I have to thank my YLF family for suggesting delicious obsession worthy alternatives. I never would have found this one without you!
