She shops shoe sales by the shoe site: Need price-watch tool

I've just learned through experience that Kut from the Kloth is a Nordstroms brand. I spent so long deciding if I should pay shipping on these pants or have them sent to family in the US, to get next time we see each other, that they sold out. https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/k...../5174361?o They were just what I'm looking for, around $35, and now aren't available anywhere.

Now there are two pairs of shoes I'm falling for hard, thanks to looking for something else for someone else. My regular sales alert tool doesn't work for either of these sites. Can you suggest a tool that will alert me when prices of these shoes drop?

Both pairs are already on sale, but not as low as I need them to be. I don't need two pairs. I don't really NEED any new shoes--there are no holes in any of my boots. But I like both of these a lot, and either pair would be good fall / spring shoes for me.

Shopstyle.com? You can get sales alerts. I think they were bought by Google or something though, if that matters.

Kut from the Kloth isn’t a Nordstrom house brand, but it’s possible they make items exclusive to certain retailers.

Avast Anti Virus if you have it, has "Avast Safe Price" browser extension. Also Chrome web store has it.

I don't know of a tool, but you could bookmark the pages of the items in question and then check them every day. I have a folder that I've named "Stalking" in which I store all of these types of bookmarks. Then I can easily access the pages once a day to check the price. Sometimes I make myself a note in my planner to check the items so that I don't forget.

If it make should feel better, I got those cords and had to return them. Too tight around the waist. These straight leg cords by the same brand were fine, so I guess the bootcuts run small.

Jenn, thanks for that explanation. I was thinking I was crazy for thinking I'd seen this brand elsewhere when all searches for these pants led me to Nordstroms. Now it makes sense.

Rachylou and Suntiger, thanks--those look like just the kind of thing I was hoping for. It was one of those things where I knew I'd seen them "around", but when I went to pick one up, couldn't remember exactly where it was. Kind of like hair bands, lol.

Gigi, that would work too, but it is so easy for me to fall down a rabbit hole once I peer over the edge to get the price on one item that I'd rather have a machine do it for me, and just bump me when it's ready.

What is the Berlin shopping scene like? Is it mostly local street shopping or malls, or like in so many places, moving online?

I have only visited Berlin once, in 1993, and I had no money at all. My treat was the Wiess Beer with a fruit syrup - and of course as with all Germany, Bratwurst and pretzels!! It was very early days after the wall came down and there was a significant difference between the East and the West. I loved the city and hope to return one day.

I adhere to Gigi's method of stalking.

There may be other ways to check prices, but I am not that computer literate.

Oh, I was sad, FI - the bootcut pants were so nice! I can't deal with tightness on my belly, though. If you ever do get to order them, size up.

Thanks Christina! May I ask more about the pants:waist interface? Right now, my waist is 32" and my hips are 42". At my biggest, there was a 7 or 8" difference, and at my smallest it was almost 11". Do you have a similar differential between waist and hips?

Sal, oh, yes--come back! I remember Berlin in those days, first spent time here summer of 91 (or was it 92? so long ago!) but anyway, the difference between East and West was so stark! Even in 95-98, it was much clearer than here. But do you remember what a mess East Berlin was just past Unter den Linden? Friedrichstrasse was completely torn up. If you visit, you will be amazed at the transformation--shopping galore on that street! Ku'damm and nearby Tautzienstrasse are still big shopping streets, and there are malls at Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer Platz (which was ONLY a construction site the whole time I lived here). But I'm starting to find smaller boutiques, which is where I hope to eventually do my shopping--boutiques, markets, and second hand shops. Right now I wouldn't be a very good guide, but give me a little time & I will be!

Yes, FI, in fact I'd say my measurements (which I don't know exactly) are probably very similar to yours. The waistband was the one tight area, and it didn't seem to me that there was a lot of give in its fabric, though the rest of the pants seemed stretchy enough. I didn't think the waist would stretch much, if at all. Hence the return.
