For everyone seeking clarification, let me see if I can explain the challenge chain more clearly.

Everyone who opts in gets put on a numbered list:

1. YLFer1
2. YLFer2
3. YLFer3

and so on. Once we know who's participating, I go to a random number generator and enter the number of people on the list. So if we have 20 people, I ask the generator to randomly select a number between 1 and 20.

Say it gives me the number 7. I see who is number 7 on the list, and I give that person a challenge. Maybe I know the person and what they're currently working on in their wardrobe, or maybe I have to go back and read some of their posts to learn more.

YLFer7 completes the challenge and posts photos. Applause ensues.

I then go to the random number generator and kick out a new number for YLFer7, who issues a challenge to that person. And so on. The last person on the list comes back around and offers a challenge to me, the challenge organizer who kicked off the whole chain.

Does that help explain things? (How I miss Hanna -- the originator of the challenge chains!)

Oh yes. Hanna from Haifa in Israel. I miss her too. Thanks for the clarification, and jogging my memory, April. I miss your sis on this forum too. Hope she is well.

Don't worry, ladies. It will become clearer once the games commence. You won't need to purchase anything new for your challenge unless off course - you want to. And you can delay the challenge a little if you're on a trip or something happens. We simply move onto the next YLF-er while you get sorted. And if the challengee is concerned with her challenge - she is allowed to say so to the challenger. We work on the challenge until everyone is happy. This has to stay fun and win-win, so really, don't worry about anything.

April, lets leave me off the lists till right at the end - like last time.

Wow, Angie -- with all the forum members who've come and gone, I'm impressed that you remember any of us. The Hanna who did the challenges was another delightful Hanna, while our Israeli Hanna went by HannaC.

At some point in her style journey, Hanna of the challenges became more devout in her religion. Remember her little face peeking out from her hijab? I see that she's been away from the forum for five years now -- time does fly.

I sound like such a geezer.

And my sis is well, thank you. She'll be thrilled that you asked.

Thanks for the clarification - this sounds like a lot of fun!

I am in! This sounds interesting.

YES. Two Hannas. YOU have a brilliant memory, April. HannaC was from Haifa, and other Hanna went back to Indonesia to look after family. Hope your sis joins us again too. xo

ETA: Love the global community of YLF.

I'm in. Awesome April

I need a challenge! I would like to participate. Looking forward to it! I am fairly new (been a member for three years but only have a handful of posts).

I will watch this one from the sidelines. Sounds daunting to me but I can't wait to see what it is about.

Peri, not really daunting at all. As Angie said, if the challenge proves too much or comes at a bad time, it's fine to say so. Nobody should be stressed out by something that's intended to be fun.

In fact, here's an example of a long-ago challenge where that very thing happened. The member who was supposed to be challenged got busy and decided to take a pass, so the challenge came to me. It was right after my birthday and I had gotten some new clothes as presents; the challenge was to integrate the new pieces into my existing wardrobe: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....nges-april

If you'd rather watch how it goes, of course that's what you should do. But please don't sit it out because it seems intimidating.

This sounds fun! I'm in! Thanks April for organizing!

Wow April good for you for remembering all this. I'm in!

I'm brand new to the forum, but have been reading the blog for a solid couple of months. I could use a good challenge to get out of my rut, so count me in!
