SF South Bay meetup?

So, according to Valley Fair's twitter, the VF Uniqlo store is opening on 10/25. I couldn't find any info about the Zara opening date yet, although there was a hiring fair last week listed on craigslist for staffing the new store, so presumably it's soonish. Has anyone seen any specifics?

OK, just throwing that out there. Discuss amongst yourselves.

I'm ready for a meet up also; probably if we can park at Valley Fair before 11am we'll do okay crowd-wise. Was just at Santana Row a couple of days ago...doing some "preliminary scouting".

I'd love a meet up. I thought I read somewhere that Zara will open in November, but I can't find it now.

I usually do okay if I get to VF around 11--I miss the horrible traffic off of 280 and can usually get a good spot in the lot next to Nordstrom.

I agree that earlier in November is probably best - that place is crazy during Christmas season, you couldn't pay me to go there. Are people thinking a weekend day - Saturday or Sunday?

Early November is good for me. I'd be up for either--weekday or weekend. I'm going to have to work around my kid's schedules either way.

I would love to join too!!

I have a couple of weekend running races in early Nov, plus the ongoing kids' birthday party scene, so weekdays would be better for me, and also less crowded at SR and VF.

Is early November really around the corner? ACK!!!

A weekday is doable for me as well (with notice), so if that works better for everyone it would certainly mean less busyness at the mall as well.

Either weekdays or weekends are usually good for me, although Saturday, November 9th is already booked.

I just happened to pop into VF on my way home from lunch, and discovered that indeed, Uniqlo is open today! Second floor, right next to Nordstrom/Savvy dept.

It's a crazy scene, I suppose since it's opening day. Line out the door and all the way down the hall. Looks like a nice store, sort of like a Japanese GAP? I won't venture back to explore until the craziness has settled, although by then, we'll be into Christmas season!
