Sexy date night outfit ideas needed

My Husband and I plan to have a much needed date night sometime in March.
I would like to try and come up with a new outfit that is sexy and a tease for him so he can’t wait to get home after, but is appropriate for going out to the movies for the date.

My Husband has no particular preference in tops I wear, he loves everything I wear but likes black or red most. I know he really loved back when we were dating when I wore low rise jeans and he likes when I wear a belt with them.
Being I usually wear jeans and a belt and shirt tucked frequently it’s hard to think of something new including them. The low rise jeans could be worn right at the thong line with a looser fitting belt, and possibly a shirt untucked so it’s a tease for him to see what I am wearing underneath, or to see that peek of my thong with a shorter shirt if I bend but I’m not sure if that would be too much out in public?

Any ideas are welcomed!

Think of fabrics that want to be touched...cashmere or silk, velvet or faux fur.

A sweetheart neckline top or off the shoulder top can be sexy without being vulgar. I concur with Joy's recommendation for "touch me" fabrics.

I would wear something you feel great in that you know he will like. Nothing wrong with jeans but I agree - a special top in a colour that suits.

I agree with the sweetheart/ off-the-shoulder top idea - if you're worried about showing too much in the jeans, maybe a fitted pencil skirt could work instead? Or a long, lace cardigan over the jeans to hide the thong a little?

Agree with Joy re: adding texture like silk, cashmere, etc. Whatever gives YOU confidence and makes YOU feel sexy will do the trick.

I read a few of the suggestions so far, I like the idea of the tall boots with my outfit and you are so right he loves how they look on me
For the top I like the suggestion by Zaeobi for the long, lace Cardigan. I know they come in red or black, and if I decide on low rise jeans it might show him enough of a preview without being too flirty for public eyes around

The question is what would look better, my top under the cardigan being short showing the waistline or long hiding it? I did want him to see my belt so I am thinking shorter, is there any kinds of belts guys find extra flirty looking or do you think the ones I already own would suffice?
He loves to put his hands around my waist or one arm while we walk around and place it right on the waistline where a belt would be and gently grab the strap.

How about a silk blouse or velvet top? Coated or otherwise statementy jeans? Or a dress or skirt for a change from jeans? New hairstyle, makeup, perfume?

Husbands generally notice mostly if its something very different than usual, it seems!

What makes you feel sexy and special? Personally I like to wear heels for date nights because they make me feel sexy and they're not something I wear everyday so they make date nights feel a little more special. If low-rise jeans make you feel sexy then I think you're on the right track.

Also consider if your husband finds one physical part particularly appealing, and highlight that. My first husband found necks alluring, so pinning up my hair was my nod to that.

He loves putting his hand on my waistline which is near my belt, so I am not sure whether to wear a short length top under my cardigan that shows the belt or longer length, and whether to wear one of my ordinary belts, or if he will find some kind of new belt sexier, I want to surprise him so I can’t ask his opinion.

Jess, you seem determined about wearing something peek-a-boo for your SO to ‘see’ and yet you write about how he likes to put his arm around you, and touch you. I’m in agreement with others that something soft and or silky would be more sensual and foster his imagination. A simple silky button down in red or black would suit your tall slim build and go well with your jeans and belt style.

You can stimulate his sense of smell as well, with freshly washed hair using a nice smelling shampoo, or a body moisturizer with a subtle scent, or even a dab of perfume.

I’m not completely disagreeing that a silky top is sensual for his touch, however if I tuck a silky shirt in it doesn’t give much of a surprise for him. If I leave it untucked he will have a bit of suspense wondering what belt I am wearing and with the cool weather I’ll have to wear a cardigan over it anyway hiding even more, he likes a tease and I don’t know if this will be TOO much hidden.
That’s why my idea was to wear the cutout sweater, the holes show a bit of what’s underneath, and the silky cardigan over will be see through and combined will have that silky touch. I can wear perfume or use a scented shampoo, plus the high boots.

With that said do you still think a silky top is better, or go for the sweater?

You know, I have to say, considering it’s a movie date... I’d want a sweater and not a crop top. Nothing delicate. I think theatres are drafty and sticky...

The theatre we are going too is clean but it probably will be cool out so no crop tops It was between a button down blouse or sweater.
