Hi
September has been a strange month - I started it sick in bed and ended it with yet another virus.
Additions
I added four things in September - the swimsuit on the 1st, and two sweaters and some mules on the 30th.
The navy sweater is an essential replacement - my old navy sweater has finally given up the ghost and has become a gardening top. But I really have been missing it and decided to replace with this Ezibuy one - at $30 it felt like a good deal for 100% merino.
I also added the bright blue vee neck - it was also $30 and 100% merino. My sweater collection was pretty lean (three).
My yellow mules arrived today - and they are a keeper too. They are comfortable and the perfect golden mustard. They are comfortable and stay on my feet.
I am still planning on a couple more spring and summer pieces - a blouse or shirt in a bright colour, some new pants, and a casual dress. I always feel the pull to a new party dress at this time of the year and I am trying to resist as I have a reasonable collection, but if the perfect one comes along I will find it hard.
Edited Out
I have also edited out three dresses - the spot dress was an impulse thrift shop buy and I can't see myself wearing it realistically, the white floral was another thrift shop buy - I have worn it a fair bit and will donate again. The orange has been a good work dress over two years but has an ink stain I cannot remove.
Tracking Update
I have been tracking my wears for four months now:
- in each of those four months I have worn 26 items of gear - there has been variation from month to month (one month it was a ski jacket, the next a tank at the gym). I am not manipulating this at all.
- in a normal month I wear 47-48 items of clothing including shoes. I would struggle with a 30 piece wardrobe....
Roll on summer, it's been an exhausting year!!
Here are a couple of unstyled snaps of the new mules and navy sweater.
