I picked up quite a few pieces this month for fall/winter, and have yet to wear many because I'm only now in the cold weather. These center around an outwear refresh (three pieces!) and workwear (five!). The silver sandals are a holdover from my end-of-season wish list, spotted on sale and worn on repeat during the last weeks of summer.

The rest of these were purchased at brick and mortar stores and, since I've been tracking these things, I made MANY fewer returns this month than I had previously: basically everything I selected in a store that came home with me stayed home. That certainly is a sign that I'm shopping more confidently, which I think is a huge win!

This is also the first time I've ever purchased a top and blazer as a set: they look great together, and I think that's how I'll wear them. A bit like the trouser + shoes equations that the rest of you have been exploring. In the past, I might have thought of this blazer as too "specific," because it only looks good (on me) with a bright white blouse; Angie has taught me that "sets" are ok, and even fab!

Finally, the tale of the trench coat ends here, with this lovely black one from the Theory factory store. I only have a mediocre shot of it in the dressing room, but I promise the fit is spot on.
